Up for sale is a Qing dynasty imperial Prince's brown dragon robe panel, late 18th or 19th century, executed in the Chinese Kesi weaving technique, 2 profile dragons surrounded by colored clouds, bats, and other auspicious Buddhist symbols above the sea waves, rocks, and standing water / Lishui. Panel is backed with light brown silk damask with peaches, Buddha's hands,and pomegranates. Very rare. Excellent condition. Measurements: 43" x 37"

With very fine gold thread embroidery on both sides and the original strings with glass beads. China, 19th century. Measurements: H.8 cm, W.11,5 cm. Excellent condition.

A brass wired green and brick red dragon writhes about the brown goldstone surface of this early Meiji 14" charger.

Slight discolorations & stains in few places of the purple silk, both front and back front, & white sleeve bands are soiled in few places...

Front enclosure to the right with toggle-and-loop buttons. The robe is in very good condition, vibrant colors & clean! Measurements : 59" from center of neck to bottom, 23" between arm pits, 60" across shoulders when stretched open, width of sleeve 11.5“，and bottom hem width 36.5".

This Qing Dynasty scroll is a kossu woven silk tapestry (kesi is the Japanese term) meticuliously depicts the famous Chinese painting scroll by Ding Yunpeng called The White Horse Carrying Sutras. The original painting was done in 1625 and illustrates the story of the 2 monks who traveled through Western China with a white horse carrying the Buddhas Scriptures. The original hangs in the National Palace Museum (Forbiddon City in TaiPei).

The kossu textile is in excellant condition...

A scholar is studying in a pavilion, 2 people are walking by a fence, and 2 men are fishing. The background is blue and the color is even throughout. Presently, it is out of frame. Small Kagamibuta (button that acts as a netsuké in traditional Japanese clothing). However the size of this one is unusually too small. To my knowledge, there is no Kagamibuta of this size (32mm) usually the diameter of these exceeds 50mm. This is not the only particularity of this jewel, indeed the presence of glass paste is absolutely exceptional, there too, I do not know of any other netsuké, manju or kagamibuta created in this material...

Antique Chinese robe, made of silk and woven with brilliantly colored fenghuang (phoenix) or firebirds, flowers and other feminine objects on a blue ground. Generous use of gold leaf covered thread, especially on the head and body of the birds.

Fenghuang (or Chinese phoenix) are considered a strong female symbol and the embodiment of high virtue and grace. This is especially true when it is used in the decorations for weddings or royalty along with dragons...

This is a 19th century excellently hand-carved netsuke depicting a Kyogen and Noh Mask Group of Nine. Among the ancient Japanese Theater represented on this mask are: Hannya, Buaku, Okame, Okina, Otafuku, Oji, Osofuki, Noborihige, and Tenjin. Signed Koichi in an oval rectangular reserve, right next to the himotoshi. It measures 1.65 inches (4.2cm) in diameter, and 1.08 inches (2.8cm) thick. It is in excellent preserved condition.

Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty 19th century Han Chinese woman's robe, and embroidered sleeve bands executed in seed stitch; 5 toggle-loop gilt buttons. The robe is in excellent condition, no fray or wear, shoulder lines have no wear or split, Except there is a very tiny hole in the front left. Measurements : Top collar to bottom hem 36", Sleeve to sleeve 65" when fully stretched, sleeve width 20", width between arm pits 25" narrowest, width of hem 36" widest.
