A beautiful double series opaque twist (DSOT) firing glass of dram size. The ogee bowl leads into a stem containing a central pair of spiral tapes with an 11 ply band outside of them. outside of an inner gauze.
The glass is 3 15/16" inches tall, with a bowl diameter of 2 inches and a foot diameter of 2 5/8 inches. Rough, snapped pontil. Excellent condition with no chips, polishing, or repairs.
This set of 12 bird plates was produced in England by the Cauldon factory in the 1890s. The plates measure 8 3/4 inches in diameter. They are made of fine, white bone china. The edges of the plates are fluted and the porcelain has a molded swirl design that is accented with gilding. The centers of the plates are expertly hand painted by the renowned artist, James Birbeck, who specialized in painting game birds...
This porcelain bowl was produced in the United States by the Pickard Studio between 1903 and 1905. It is signed Shoner for the artist Otto Shoner. The bowl measures 7 1/2 inches in diameter, handles not included. There are “wish-bone” handles on each side of this scalloped and blown out bowl. Small statue of Ambika, with a tiny Jina sitting above her head, wearing a dhoti, standing on a pedestal backed by a large nicely adorned mandorla. Ambika holds a child in her left arm, and what seems to be a weapon in her right hand. The deity is flanked by her vahana animal, a lion, on her lower left side, and by another child standing on her lower right side. Bronze, with nice dark reddish-green patina. India, 16th century. A marvelous oval shaped Chinese tortoise shell box with enameling featuring a bamboo and floral pattern with auspicious symbols on a carved top and the side bands. An interior mirror under the fitted lid shows some age related wear. The tortoise shell is in excellent antique condition, no cracks and there is no visible loss to the enamel. This is a rare treasure which displays beautifully. Measures 6 inches long, 5" wide, 1.5 inches high. Circa 1880.

Dangling from one of the brass handles is a natural gourd with silver stopper and a lacquer sake cup, imitating Tamba stoneware. Japan, Meiji era, early 20th century.

This porcelain flower pot with under plate was produced at the Meissen Factory in Germany between the 1890s and 1910. The under plate has a diameter of 7 1/2 inches and the pot measures 6 1/4 inches high and 7 1/4 inches in diameter. The porcelain is quite substantial and heavy. Chinese Export Imari Porcelain Plate, 18th C. Qianlong period 1736-1795, 9" diameter, 1 7/8" high, with Peony flower branches in the center, within more floral branches decorated on the wide border, all the decorations are done with overglaze iron red on top of the underglaze blue, highlighted in gold. There are very tight glaze hairline under the plate about 2" long and another one is 3/4" long, and small chips 1/8" wide under the rim.

Antique Japanese Funa Tansu (ship safe chest) made from beautiful Kuri (Chestnut) wood. It has two front sliding panels with an iron lock in its center, and two handles incised auspicious designs. The interior is shelved with a side locking drawer, accented with red lacquer. Three drawers run along the bottom of the chest with squared kakute style iron handles.
