A very rare scroll weight resp. paper weight made from glass and painted with a very pleasing romantic landscape . This painting is done in a typical Qianlong manner on a opaque white glaze and is covered with a thick layer of transparent glaze. Qianlong Period ( 1736 - 1795 ) On the back side of the piece is something like a very small signature which can be seen on the last enlargement. L : 17,5 cm. B : 3,3 cm. H : 1,2 cm. Condition : Perfect.
A quite large perfect potted jarlet, glazed with an nice bluegreen "Guan" glaze. The piece is very decorative because of the color of the Celadon glaze and the striking and unusual deep crackles in the glaze ( please look at the enlargements )

This is an old traditional style top shirt which would have been worn by a young girl of the Yi Chinese ethnic minority from Yunnan Province. the fabric is made from home grown cotton, hand spun, and hand woven. The collar surround and cuffs are trimmed with an intricate batik pattern and the tiniest embroidery stitched I have ever seen. The shirt has its original buttons. Good size for framing 14 inches across the chest.
A very unusual Bohemian zwischengoldglass liquor glass, the bottom featuring an inset gilt and enameled design of a ladybug. The panel cutting along the beaker’s sides causes the design to be visually repeated. Small beakers such as these are normally decorated with a flower. This is the only example we’ve seen with an insect. The ladybug traditionally symbolizes good luck, so perhaps that's why it appears here.

A Compete Set of Five Pair of Diamond Brass Candlesticks. The Original Three Pairs (Ace of Diamonds, King of Diamonds and Queen of Diamonds) were Designed to Commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee (1837-1897). The Remaining Two Pairs (Prince of Diamonds and Princess of Diamonds) came out in 1901, after Victoria's Death. There are several ding and scratches on the individual pieces, but overall in very good condition. The full set is a rare occurrence.
A dish in the form of an auspicious Manchurian Red Crowned Crane decorated in green, black and iron red enamels with gilding. Dating Kyoho in period circa 1710-30. The dish measures approximately 17cm in wingspan and approximately 13 cm from tail to head. It is in good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration some very minor wear to the enamels and kiln flaws.

Chinese Han Dynasty (206 B.C. - A.D. 220) bronze lidded censor, round form, on three legs, incised characters on both front and back sides, handles on either side, beautiful patina, sits on beautifully carved hardwood stand made later during the 19th century.

This Japanese hibachi is made from a single piece of Kiri wood, aka paulownia. A design of thick raised gold lacquer, aka Makie depicts Botan peony plant with added colors of pink and green for definition of flower and a single leaf. Hibachi comes with the original copper insert and the condition is very good. A couple of hard to find scratches and tiny (pinheadsize) dents on the top rim. Hibachi dates from late Meiji period. The size is approx 6.5" diameter x 6” high
Antique Japanese bronze hibachi decorated with dragons and chickens. The chickens have their wings spread as they give the illusion they are flying out of the body. The dragons walk across the body of the vessel. There are three small feet with incised scrolling designs. It measures 9" tall, 13" wide at the mouth, 18" wide from handle to handle. Meiji period, 1868-1912.
Head of Bhairava with a fierce expression, wearing a crown of skulls, with flying hair. A small opening in the mouth allowed the insertion of a pipe (now gone), through which consecrated beer was flowing. Two loops at the back for attachment. Wood, with traces of red ritual material. Nepal, 19th century, maybe earlier. Height: 13" (33 cm). The head is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Very good condition.
Small statue of Kuan Yin, in formal attire, sitting in "rajalila asana" (king's posture) on a highly stylized lion, itself resting on a lotus base. Bronze, with large remnants of lacquering and gold paint, nice green patina. China, early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Height: 6 1/4" (15,8 cm). Chip at the back of the base, small loss on the diadem, otherwise very good condition. A truly beautiful casting.
Shamanic face mask of oval shape, with minimalistic features. Wood, traces of black resin under the nose for attachment of a mustache made of animal hair (now missing). Nice dark patina. This lovely set of 5 antique Japanese blue and white porcelain sake cups was made for export during the McKinley Tariff Act of 1890-1914 which required that the name of the country of origin appear in writing on each piece of pottery or porcelain imported into the country. Each cup has the makers name on the bottom as well as the country of origin.

The hand-carved foo dogs are solid wood and sit on platforms or separate bases that not solid. The male foo dog has a decorative ball under his left paw while the female dog has a playful pup lying on its back under her right paw. Antique Nepalese bronze bodhisatva seated on a double lotus throne. The piece has the original copper base with stamped design. The robes of the figure are skillfully incised with a beautiful cloud and scrolling vine design. The hands are in muddra as they hold a small container. Some old loses. It measures 8" tall 5 " wide 3" deep. 19th century, obtained in the 1960s in Katmandu .
