We like to present you a 150 year old tea bowl made of Shino ware. It was made around the late Edo/early Meiji period.

White pottery is coated with white and light grey glaze. Very tasteful. It comes with a Japanese wood box (kiribako).

As you can check on the pictures, it is in good antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

Beautiful antique Japanese stacking bento basket made of very fine split bamboo with even finer strips woven underneath for insulation, the container separates into two compartments - a larger compartment underneath and a small covered box on top. This is a beautiful antique porcelain vase from the Fukagawa factory. It is beautifully painted and has extremely fine enamel work. Look close at the cherry blossom images to appreciate this great artistry. The vase stands 9 3/4 inches tall. Condition is excellent and there are no condition issues.

This is a fine old Antique Chinese charger. It is done in a pattern rarely seen. Look close at the images and you will see the old orange peel surface texture. The charger has no cracks or chips. It does have a little wear to the gold but most of the enamels are fine. Overall it is in very good condition and in much better condition than most this age.. The Charger is heavily potted and weighs several lbs. Measures 13 inches across.

Unusual Burmese KAMMAVACA manuscript. Complete with the 16 leaves and 2 wooden covers. This late 19th century example is lacquer ON METAL. 50x10 cm approx. weight unpacked 2.2kg. There is some loss of lacquer on corners and on one leaf.

Antique Japanese pair of lacquer trays with a black exterior and deep red lacquer interior. The sides of each tray are pierced with gourd shapes on their sides, lines, and small holes, and the rim is dotted with gilt lacquer. A large Ming Dynasty dish, decorated in underglaze Cobalt blue with floral scrolls and a Chrysanthemum to the center. Pieces of this kind were found at the LENA SHOAL JUNK. Such pieces are also to find in the Topkapi Museum and in some other excellent collections. Ming Dynasty,Hongzhi period 1488 - 1505. Diameter : 25,8 cm. This gorgeous grey Shino-Oribe Chawan was made around 1620, the late Momoyama and early Edo Period.

The cylinder shaped (hanzutsu) chawan is made of light, fine, unrefined Mino clay. Shape and style (flaring mouth) make it contemporary with the late Oribe bowls. The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical black oniita engobe inside and outside - with the exception of the bottom - over which a white, feldspatic Shino glaze has been poured...

A carved hardwood figure depicting the Daoist Immortal Liu Hai holding his three-legged toad. This item was made in China, possibly for export, during the 19th Century. Condition: there are aging cracks to the base and minor chips and old bumps. 33cm (13 inches) high. Weight: 1.35kg (3lb)
