This child's waistcoat was made in Kohistan which is located along the Karakoram Highway and on the Indus river in Pakistan. The textile measures 26 x 32 x 34 cm and is embroidered in acrylic thread on a fine black linen background. Silver amulets are incorporated into the textile to repel the evil eye ("djinn") and various coins adorn the bottom edge of the vest. Estimated age: mid to late 20th century. Condition is excellent.

This hand made, gold plated over silver, ring is 1 inch long (measured on the top). It holds three amethyst stones. The large stone in the center is irregular. Two small ones on each side are round. The fancy workmanship makes this ring very dramatic and interesting. Since it was made as an adjustable ring, it can fit a male or female hand. Small and cute box for keeping incense, called kogo, originally used in the tea ceremony. Hand modeled coarse red stoneware with small sediment and mineral inclusions. White irregular glaze caused by feldspar inclusions in the clay that melted during the firing and dripped over the outside.
The overall shape is an irregular cylinder which turns into a plum blossom when seen from the top, with three clusters of stamen. Ash glaze inside the lower part of the box.
