A large and well-preserved tanged bronze sword, c. 2nd. millenium BC.

The style with the thick mid-rib and two rivets in the corner of the blade is known from the Assyrian period, and the present specimen provincially made around the lands of the Caspian Sea. On this specimen one rivet is still remaining. Very attractive and impressive!

Size: 45 cm.

Condition: Choice - very fine green patina and good metal quality - very few losses and roghness to the edge...

An nice lot of three ancient Bronze daggers from Ancient Near East, early types of the 3rd.-early 2nd. mill. BC.

The lot consist of a larger dagger, 20,8 cm and two smaller ones - 13,6 & 11,3 cm. all different types, incl. a very early type of the 3rd. mill. BC

All three items come with nice patinas and in choice condition.

A fine and impressive large stamp seal with wide loop handle on the back and deeply carved with a cruciform pattern in drill style. Mesopotamia, Uruk period, 3300-2900 BC

Size: 33 mm. in diameter.

Condition: Very fine, sharp seal with minor ancient loss to the rim...

A fine very large gable seal carved in white stone with smaller and larger animal, Western Mesopotamia, 4th. mill. BC.

Size: 37 mm long and 27 mm wide, 11 mm thick.

Condition: VF, basically intact with minor wear to the edges.

A lovely small stamp seal with high loop handle and carved in a black and white stone, Urartu Kingdom, c. 9th.-7th. cent. BC.

The seal base engraved with an animal. A rare stone seal from this culture and period.

Size: 15 mm. tall.

Condition: Good Very fine, choice and intact with uncleaned patina.

A lovely massive seal engraved with an archaic looking animal. Brown-green stone, Eastern-most Anatolia, c. 4th. mill. BC.

Size: 32 mm. wide and 28 mm. broad, 15 mm. tall.

Condition: Choice VF intact, with finely encrusted and patinated surfaces.

An important huge stone sculpture of Durga, Indonesia, East Javanese Hindu art of the 11th. cent. AD.

She is standing bare-breasted on a buffalo, the eight-armed goddess grasps the demon by his hair and holds various attributes such as sword, conch and dharmachkra. Her torso is contoured and adorned with a heavy necklace, the face with a benign expression and crowned by a diadem and elaborate headdress...

A huge lead/bronze head of Gorgoneion / Medusa, Roman Empire, 1st.-3rd. century AD.

Interesting oversized item, probably from a piece of furniture or a military cariot. Very high relief and stunning quality portrait, made in lead and bronze.

Size: 10,2 cm. tall and 9,3 cm. wide and weighing 1180 grams - 1,18 kilograms!

Ex. Private Collection in Denmark, formed in the 1980s-1990s, bought from Ancient art dealer Arne Johansen, Pilestrædet Copenhagen c. 1990.

A large heavy stone sculpture of Bull Nandi, Indonesia, Early pre-Majapahit style of the 9th.-11th. cent. AD.

Done by a master sculpture in the finest style for the period. A very lifely divine bull in a recumbent pose atop a double square deep base with the right frontleg with the knee bent. The head turned and the tail swept to one side and outlined adornments.

Size: 47 cm. long and 37 cm. tall...

Attractive, intact large spouted jar with broad strap handle, c. 900-1300 AD.

Finely made, very sharply symethric piece with decoration along the upperpart. Very old collection tags still glued to the base.

Size: c. 23 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice.

Interesting stone seal, shaped as a stylized scarab after Egyptian model, West-Mesopotamian, among the earliest types of scaraboids, 3rd. millenium BC.

A particularly finely carved specimen with a sophisticated Leaf/heering pattern.

A large round or oval black stone stamp seal of the gable form, popular in Northern Mesopotamia and Anatolia in the Ubaid period, 4th. mill. BC.

The seal engraved with a 4-legged animal and with a bird above.

Size: 31 mm. x 29 mm and 8 mm. thick.

Condition: Very fine, intact with much even wear and patina from use.

A triangular stamp seal with handle, Western Mesopotamia, c. 3rd. millenium BC.

Large for type and with the base engraved with a reclining animal with a branch of tree below and a bull upside down. Carved in a lovely green stone.

Size: 27 x 26 mm. 15 mm. tall.

Condition: Very fine, intact and very attractive, with fine uncleaned earthern deposits.

Interesting massive seal with a provenance going back to the French Dealer j. Vinchon 1973. Greenstone seal with stylized engravings in the base and worn through handle from extensive use. Very early dating to the 5th. mill. BC or even earlier!
