A rare and massive European Gate key, Late Medieval, ca. 14th.-15th. century.

A very heavy key with kidney-shaped bow and a very thick stem and bit. Remnants of copper plating on the surface.

Size: 21,3 cm. long and 8,3 cm. wide over the bow! Weight: ca. 300-350 grams.

Condition: Basically intact with very heavy patina and corrosion and loss of metal to the bit.

A very nice Iron Chest Key, Probably Northern Europe, early late 16th.-early 17th. century.

Almost round bow, strong, thick collar and a rather massive key.

Size: 12 cm.

A large, Museum Quality pottery figure of a male attendant carrying a bag over his shoulder. The figure dates to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 AD.

The figure is placed on a large Lotus throne on top of high hexagonal plint, both in fine Sancai colours - a two-colour green and yellow glazed robe.

He wears a head dress. Finely hand painted facial details. Lotus thrones are very rare for Ming pottery figures...

A pair of late Renaissance bronze spoons, England, dating ca. 1620-1640.

Excellent early European spoons, likely once silvered, nor in a brass / bronze colour. A rare set of early kitchenware, very interesting and from a very old Danish collection.

Size: ca. 17,5 cm. each.

Condition: Excellent for type.

A fine Vicus Figural Vessel, c. 100 BC - 300 AD.

The double vessel with bridge handle, a monkey on one side and spout on the other, the designs in black negative resist paint.

Vicus culture was an important early culture in Peru about 2,000 years ago, with an archeological site in northern Peru discovered in 1961...

A rare pottery Jug with handle in red terracotta with the spout moulded as a human face and with eyes and brows drawn in black and cream. The arms on the belly drawn as well, all on a red glazed ground. Costa Rica, pre 15th. century

Size: ca. 12 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice, hairline repair to handle, othervise in perfect condition with preserved glaze. A very attractive vessel!

A wonderful matching set of three Mace Heads of the rare claw-shaped type, Bactria, 2nd. millenium BC.

Bactrian bronze egg-shaped mace-heads with spiked sleeves or prongs, Late 2nd Millennium BC. The top of the weapons with narrow edge, the sleeves with small internal tangs for mounting them to a shaft.

Size: Max 6,2 cm. wide and 7,1 cm. high...

An interesting and rare bronze shrine or figure, depicting a Deity, likely Vishnu, seated on a Throne with a large construction at his back, with a Lion mask on top. Cobra hood over his head. South India, ca. 18th. century.

Size: 19 cm.

Condition: Choice, smoothly polished front, the back with an fine very old brown patina.

A larger early square stamp seal in brown Serpentine, Mesopotamia, Early 3rd. millenium BC.

An attractive seal drilled to be mounted to a string and engraved with astylized figure.

A very rare Jama-Coaque pottery bowl, ca. 500 B.C.-500 AD.

The ONLY pottery bowl we've ever seen with 5 legs, all decorated with faces of people or animals.

Interesting and very attractive bowl for any collection of fine Pre-Columbian antiquities.

This choice vessel has the body decorated with a red-on-cream resist painted pattern. Serrated edge.

Size: ca. 75 mm. high and ca. 155 mm. in diameter.

A fine silver ancient Islamic belt buckle from the earliest fase in the Islamic domination of the world, 7th.-9th. century AD.

A beautiful and perfectly intact belt buckle completely covered in black patina and in solid silver. Fine ornamentation.

Size: ca. 6 cm. long.

Condition: Superb! A partidularly fine specimen with completely black patina.

An nice larger mirror in bronze, Islamic, 10th.-12th. century AD.

The islamic bronze mirrors were typically made in the Chinese style of the Han Period with added islamic elements. This mirror is large and with a recessed face and undecorated back. Small loss to the handle.

Condition: Choice, fine smooth water-green patina. Old Collection tag on the reverse.
