Exquisite antique Japanese fluted Imari vase with special scallop edge and containing intricate patterns of flowers, scrolls, hu-birds and geometric designs. This beautiful vase is of dark blue underglaze with gold, red and orange-red overglaze. Underglazed foot has orange clay body. Flowers are painted in red and highlights of gold. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen between 1890 and 1910. Both pieces have the first quality crossed swords markings under glaze. The saucer is 4 1/8 inches in diameter. The cup is 1 3/4 inches tall with a diameter of 2 3/8 inches The cup has a split branch handle. The borders are slightly scalloped with points at intervals. These flowers are beautifully hand painted with a unique variation. The stems and leaves are done in gold leaf...

Very fine large Meiji Era Japanese porcelain bowl with a delicately painted floral motif accented with gold gilt highlights. The side of the bowl features cranes in various flying poses. There is an old staple and gold repair at the rim. Looking into the bowl it is not visible unless you are seriously looking for it. See last 2 photos. Bowl rings nicely. Signed on the bottom, this is a very large bowl measuring 12.5 inches across by 3.75" high.

A unique Ko-sumetsuke tea ceremony plate with an unusual motif of a raging bull. The center of the plate is divided into 5 sections with scrolling vines and chrysanthemums. The central figure is a raging bull in a pine forest with rounded fronds. The perimeter of the dish is ringed with a classic cloud image. Ko-sometsuke (old blue and white) porcelain was produced specifically for the Japanese market during the final decades of the Ming dynasty (1368-1644)...

A small cast iron Japanese tetsubin of slightly flared cylindrical form, decorated in relief to one side with maple leaves floating on a stream against a textured ground. The backside is plain save for the textured ground and the foundry mark for Kinshudo. The cover is flat with a pine cone finial and the handle can be moved to either side. In excellent condition, it measures 2.5 inches high excluding the handle, diameter about 3" at widest. Dates late 19th Century.

Pretty late Victorian porcelain child's cup. One side has a polychrome transfer image of a playful dog, while the other shows another dog with a blue ribbon around his neck. The rim and handle are decorated with gilt bands. Porcelain cups such as these were prized by Victorian children. The bottom is marked "Germany".

Origin: Germany, ca 1900. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks, light wear to gilding at rim. Size: 2-3/16" tall.

Four flat dishes with spur marks and so probably Japanese, Meiji c 1900, all with a matted powder blue glaze, also covering the back and the foot rim. Diameter "8/ 20 cm. Condition: minimal glaze frits to the rim of two plates, as seen on photos.

Kodansu in ivory in the shape of an elephant, resting on four feet, enriched by refined inlay applications in the sophisticated Shibayama technique. The upper opening, facilitated by a bronze grip, reveals its interior. It bears the signature, engraved on the side. Origin: Japan Period: Meiji end of 19th century. Dimensions: 6 x 26 x 4.2 cm. State of conservation: Very good

Three thin and lovely cups and saucers with underglaze blue reserves of landscapes, birds and couples against an iron-red and gilt background. All parts marked Mikawachi where most Hirado porcelain of the period was made. An extra saucer to go with the rest, without cost. Height of cups "2¼/ 5,8 cm, diameter of saucers "4/ 10 cm. Condition: fine.

A very rare and fine Japanese Satsuma water dropper in the form of a Kyoto style saki pot. Delicately painted with figures and flowers, it is supported on three tiny feet and signed on bottom. In excellent condition, this treasure measures a mere 2 5/8 in diameter and about 1.25" high. Dates Meiji Period, 1868-1912.

This late 19th or early 20th century Japanese Imari vase is 13 ½” high and 6 ½” on the widest part. The ribbed body was painted a traditional gold, orange and blue floral and bird design. There is a Shishi (lion) on the top of the domed shape lid. It is in great condition.

A carved wooden advertisement with two metal pieces to hang the board. The advertisement is for a cold medicine named, Phenyl which is the chemical name for cold medicines even still today. The advertisement states on one side that this medicine effectively reduces fevers and on the other the name of pharmaceutical store that makes the medicine, which is Yamada Kaiseido. On the top is the logo for the medicine with the words trademark...
