Made in Rockville, Illinois, this is probably the best dining room set we've ever had. It consists of a rare zebra wood top table, two arm chairs, four side chairs, large server, small buffet and closed china cabinet with fabulous inlay. The table, which has a drawer in one end, measures 68" long x 48" wide x 32" tall. It has two 12" leaves, both with aprons, making it 92" long when fully extended. It has flowered inlay in all corners, with inlay trim around the aprons...

A beautiful green-to-clear glass vase, made by either Moser or Harrach. The vase is decorated with beautiful art nouveau floral motif. Polished pontil. Except for roughness toward the vase's bottom (see second-last picture), it is in very good condition. A similar-colored vase is shown in Truitt's book on Bohemian glass (shown in last picture here for your convenience).

Japanese hair comb decorated with a pair of love birds, Oshidori (Mandarin ducks) perched on a plum tree, raised gold makie with silver, kirikin and shells. The theme here is auspicious. We counted 33 teeth in 3 cm, amazingly skillful hand work. Excellent condition - actual color loss in the center area of wooden teeth is not so obvious as shown in the photos. This is a large, substantial ancient Chinese nephrite object which appears to be composed of two opposing "core" elements from a cong or similar tube object. Each end tapers toward the middle where a "shoulder" ridge is present. The piece measures just under 7" in length and is 1-3/4" at the widest diameter. The piece has been seen and authenticated and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. The stone itself is celadon colored nephrite with substantial dark inclusions...

Beautiful Chinese antique celadon glazed bowl. The body of the bowl is shaped into six wide lobes and glazed an olive-green with a very fine crackle. The interior is decorated with a delicate raised scrolling lotus stem. A lotus blossom or leaf adorns each interior lobe of the bowl. An incised line circles the outside rim. Song Dynasty. Size: 7 3/8" wide diameter x 2 1/2" high

Antique Japanese lacquer with gold shrine incense stand. Hand carved wood with black lacquer. Gold gilt floral details seen on all sides. Square flat top open to hold an incenser.
The burning of incense in Japan began during the 6th century (the Asuka period) with the introduction of Buddhism, which uses incense during rituals and ceremonies.
