A wonderful double sided smalt trade sign for D.M. Woodward, Doctor of Chiropractic. The gilded letters and the black smalt background are virtually intact and vibrant. The frame is original, and measures 28 3/4 inches by 14 inches by 2 inches deep. There is a small sliver out of the frame at one upper edge, and a small gap in the frame at the corner. Aside from these very minor flaws, the piece is in excellent condition.

This is an authentic Sung Dynasty Vase with Lotus pattern design moulded on it, it in quite a good condiotion except some minor chips on the mouth rim and it has no repair, no crack....glaze is a bit degraded because of burial and natural corrosion, thanks for looking and feel free to enquire.....

A Fukagawa tea cup and 5 3/8 inch tea saucer dish. Iris decoration from Chuji Fukagawa's own 19th century design book. Blue underglaze and red, yellow and gold overglaze enamel decoration. Mt. Fuji mark in underglaze blue inside the foot rings. Late Meiji or early Taisho. Good condition. Priced for each cup and saucer, there are now three cups and saucers available. Iga-yaki is a style of pottery where the ceramic is fired at high temperatures causing it to crystallize in a red hue, with brown-grey burn marks caused by log ashes, and the melting effect of the vidro (feldspatic glass)...

19th century kokutan (ebony) netsuke of a bronze wasp resting on an old rotten log. Rather unusual elegant subject in Japanese taste, beautiful crisp metalwork, dark wood with characteristic ebony sheen from wear. Length 1 3/4 inches.

A charming antique Chinese basket with basket weave bottom. The inside of the basket is lacquered in red over black, while the rim and exterior are black lacquered with gilt lacquer banding and motifs of butterflies, fruits, and flowers. The basket has a lovely patina and wear consistent with age.
