This is indigo dye sashiko noragi naga-hanten of Aomori Prefecture of the Meiji era(1868-1912). cotton seems to be hand spun and woven. All sashiko was stitched by the hand. It is very beautiful. Roman wine amphora with spindle-shaped body on a short ring foot. Rounded shoulder with short neck, the handles attached just below the bulged mouth.
Typologically this is a Gaulish wine amphora (amphore vinaire Gauloise), which was manufactured in Galia Narbonensis, French Provence area. Type Gauloise 4, after Sciallano/Sibella. Amphores: comment les identifier? Paris 1991.

Circa 1870s-90s Japanese Hirado porcelain vase with a globular body raised on a short footrim and rising to a slender, knopped neck with everted mouth and galleried rim. Decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a falcon perched on the bole of a gnarled pine tree, a band of lappets around the foot, and the rim with a continuous key-fret border, it is in excellent condition. Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Mug, Tankard, Ca. 1736-1795, 6 1/2" high, 3" diameter-top rim, 5" wide include handle, Famille Rose bouquet of Flowers in the shaped urn or vase with low relief dots near the top rim and bottom and twisted handle. Very thin line half way circle on the unglazed bottom but I do not see nor feel the separation inside the bottom.

Statue of a taoist dignitary, in formal attire, standing with a martial posture on an elevated base. Votive box still closed at the back. Wood, with remnants of superimposed layers of polychrome and gold painting. China, 19th century. Height: 13 " (32,5 cm). Left hand partly chipped, old insect infestation (no more danger), otherwise good condition.

This Chinese antique wood carving was possibly part of an architectural structure or possibly from a piece of furniture. The wood is approximately 1.3 inches thick and retains much of the original finish though it is obviously worn in some areas. The tradition carvings of 2 dragons chasing the pearl is very well done. The piece is about 5 inches high and 17 inches long.

This is a wonderful silver cigarette case with delicately engraved motif on the front and back panel, with small presentation mark engraved on the upper left side of back panel...

Exceptional Khmer dagger with the large sculptural bronze hilt shaped as Uma / Parvati with hands folded in prayer arising from a flower. She is ornamented in fine jewelry, including a collar necklace, bracelets armbands, earrings, and an ornate diadem. The finally cast details of the face, clothing and jewelry are all indicative of the Angkor period. Uma was a favored goddess in Khmer Angkor...

Antique Japanese unusual choba tansu (merchant's chest) with original red lacquer finish hardwood. A single long drawers runs along the top, with four small drawers along the righthand side, and two large, hinged doors on the left, with an interior storage area. Simplistic decorative iron plating of round locks, squared (kakute) handles, and scalloped corner hardware decorative the front and frame of the piece.

A Chinese archaic pale green jade sword chape carved on one side with four linear designs, the reverse with a coiled dragon, 5cms wide, Western Han dynasty (202BC - 9AD). A similar chape was sold at Bonhams London, 18/5/23, lot 28, Keverne collection. Another sold at Christie's New York, 17/3/16, lot 920.
