This was made in Amagi area in the Meiji era. This cotton was spun by hand. This Shibori was dyed with an indigo plant of nature. It is a swallow and a rainy image.In the small ring of Mame-ire Shibori, size delicately changes for handwork. And the vertical stripe has little rolling. It is a good point and fun of the handwork. An unusual underglaze blue Chinese cricket jar with charming scenes of a scholar in garden settings. The condition is very good without chips, cracks, or hairlines. Dating circa 1900, it measures 5" across x 3.5" high.

Beautiful antique Chinese robe in deep blue silk with light blue lining, decorated in various pink and blue thread butterflies, fruit, and flowers with forbidden stitching. The sleeves rolled reveals beautiful forbidden stitch flowers and butterflies with golden accents and are bordered by deep blue flowers. Size: 45.75" top to bottom, 67.5" across shoulder

This extremely rare green slate pendant is 3 1/8" in diameter and is from Eastern Oklahoma dating to the Mississipian Period. The incised motifs are two antler-headed panther rattlesnakes with weeping/forked eye, four hands with eye in the palm and a central stylized eye. Each hand is set so that the fingers point in one of the sacred directions. The entire outside edge is incised with lines reminiscent of the shell mask hairlines and there are four stylized antlers at the four directions...

Pair of oval silver salts, clean and simple design with straight sides and a classical border of stylized leaves (kymation) around the rim. Early 20th century, with Swedish import hall marks and possibly by Bernhard Hertz whose company was based in Copenhagen and Stockholm. Length "2/ 5,5 cm. No liners. Condition: fine.

A hand hammered brass teapot with rattan wrapped handle, probably Germany, c 1910. Together with a burner by Jan Eisenlöffel, c 1900. The burner with “hammered” dark blue glass walls made in the 1990’s to fit the exact style of the original. Height of teapot "7½/ 19 cm, width "8/ 20 cm, width of burner "5¼/ 13 cm. Condition: fine.

Genuine antique Shan lacquer box circa late 19thCE. Most Burmese lacquer being offered on the internet purported to be antique are vintage at best and new at worst. I acquired this in Yunnan, China along the Burmese border but of Shan (nationality in China). Although there is some damage the craftsmanship is exquisite which is why I put a grain of sand in a couple of the images to put the work into perspective...

This unique 3-pronged bone tool is probably a comb, but could be some type of fish or crawdad spear or even a fork. It was found at a Ft. Ancient site in Washington County, Kentucky on private property. One prong was broken off in antiquity and glued back on. This is the most unusual bone piece I have ever seen. It was obviously carved with stone tools. It is nicely polished with great patination. It dates to the Mississipian Period around 1000AD.

Samurai Helmet depicted respectfully displayed on the stand. Painted on silk with ink and kindei, which is gold pigments. The kabuto was an important part of the equipment of the samurai, and played a symbolic role as well, which may explain the Japanese expressions, sayings and codes related to them. Rare Javanese hand fan, made circa 1890 - 1905. The fan portion is a made of water buffalo hide that has been very ornately pierced, painted, and gold gilt. The delicate looking frame is made from water buffalo horn, which has been finely carved and curved. There are no condition issues save for a loose thread or two that can be clipped or reattached. Measures 10.25" by 9" across.

Rare Gorham sterling silver Acanthus vase. This wonderful vase with a fluted body is embossed in high relief with acanthus leaf shell design around the foot and mouth. This a first class quality vase, bearing the Gorham sterling trademarks. In excellent condition, it measures 8.5" high.
