Antique Japanese 2-section futon tansu, made with chestnut wood frame, keyaki (elm) wood drawers and slider panels, sugi (cryptomeria) wood interior, iron hardware, top section has been converted into an entertainment center with shelves for components (can be removed if desired), small safe box compartment with key and two small drawers inside, Meiji Period (1868-1912). Size: 68" high x 68" wide x 30" deep.

This absolutely charming pair of baby booties is from the late Qing dynasty. They are made of silk satin ivory colored fabric and have a large satin stitched butterfly on each side. The front of the booties have an appliqued butterfly with tassles and pompoms. They are in pristine condition with the exception of the one missing pompom on one bootie.

This Japanese Meiji period 6 sided porcelain chocolate pot was made for export to the Western markets. The chocolate pot has a lovely traditional Japanese scene which was hand painted, with bits of moriage detail. Excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, pot is 9.5 inches tall. There are 3 matching cups and saucers will be listed separately.

From our Shipwreck Ceramics Collection, a charming blanc de chine Guanyin from the Vung Tau Shipwreck circa 1690-1700 (Kangxi Period), one of only 30 ever recovered from this wreck and in this sense quite rare. The Vung Tau Shipwreck refers to a cargo ship of Chinese ceramics that sank in the waters of the Can Doa Islands, nearby to Vung Tao Vietnam between 1690 and 1700, where it had briefly stopped to re-supply on its way to Batavia (Jakarta Indonesia)...

This porcelain vase was produced in Germany by Sontag & Sohne, Tettau, around 1900. It is 7 1/2 inches long at the base, 3 ¾ inches deep and 5 3/4 inches high. The shape and decoration are in the art nouveau style. There is a scene of a Jacobean couple accompanied by a blackamoor and a whippet. It is done in fine hand enameling. A cartouche of embossed gold frames the scene. There are gold accents and the top rim is trimmed with gold...

This set of 6 plates was produced in England by Royal Doulton in the late 19th century. They are signed by the artist, Joseph Hancock. They measure 8 7/8 inches in diameter. They are made of excellent quality bone china. The rims are scalloped. Each plate has a bird, hand painted with fine detail in its natural habitat. No white shows through. The painting and cream ground color blend together perfectly...

Either this very nice Earthenware Jar with a molded - impressed decoration and glazed with an Sancai glaze is from the Tang Dynasty ( 618 - 906 ) and from Henan or Shaanxi ( Sancai). Or it is a piece from the Liao Dynasty ( 916 - 1125 ) Liaoning ( Sancai ). The weight of this Jar is very small.
