Up for a sale is a large antique Chinese Qing dynasty blue dragon robe, 19th century, embroidered with nine 5-claw dragons, clouds, buddhist auspicious symbols executed in Forbidden stitch or Peking knots, seawaves & standing whater ( Lishui ); backed with light blue silk lining; very fine embroideries, imperial workshop quality; lining has light stains and tears, dark blue lower sleeves' top stabilized, overall the robe is in very good condition consistent with its age...

From the latter half of the 19th century, this beautifully proportioned iron vane graced the spire of the United Baptist Church in Ellsworth, Maine. In 1933, a major fire swept through the town, burning many of the buildings, including the church. When the church was finally rebuilt, the council wanted a more modern look, and stored the vane in the basement, where it remained for the next 70 years or so...

Late 19th Century 18 carat gold pocket watch set. The set contains two original pieces, the pearlized pocket watch and matching Chatelaine which is decorated with pearls and emeralds. This delicate set was crafted for the ladies.
Chatelaine (useful ornament supporting watches, watch keys, seals, thimble cases, an other etuis, worn hanging from a belt).
Measures: Chatelaine: 3.93" (10 cm) length X 0.51" (1.3 cm) heart width.

These mid 19th century Chinese carved wood statues are around 12 inches high, 8 inches wide and 5 inches deep. They depict two young men sitting on a Qi Lin (or Qi Ren). Their arms are raised up and they are holding gold ingots. Both Qi Lin have a loose ball in their mouths. The workmanship is great, especially the detail of the Qi lin’s faces. Aside from slightly worn colors and portions of the statues are missing due to age, they are in good condition.

Presented is a large Jardiniere (1 of 2 offered) of a rustic but well known and designed theme of a dragon, phoenix, rooster, and peony. The dark green glaze is well aged and in pristine condition for this mid-19th century or earlier artifact of interest. Antique Tibetan trunk with lid, hand-painted in pigments of red, green, orange, yellow, and gold. The front of the chest with a dragon medallion, surrounded by blooming flowers, smoke, scrolling motifs and auspicious symbols. The lid is secured shut by a front clasp and metal rings attaching it to the body of the trunk.

Rare Tibetan hand-painted lacquer altar cabinet. Original finish with patina. The front three panels depict three faces. The left face has red skin and green hair with eyes opened wide. The middle face is upside down with eyes coming out of its skull, representing the kapala or skull cup used in sacred Tibetan Buddhist ceremonies. The face on the right is called citipati, representing both the eternal dance of death as well as perfect awareness...

A Japanese water dropper in the form of a karashishi. It has a fine patina with the surface smooth from handling and darkened in places from accumulated grime. Inscribed signature on the base, unread. Probably 19th century.

I am not familiar with Japanese porcelain, and so I cannot date this nice piece, but with a magnifying glass it it possible, to see all all the fine scratches on the surface of the dish, which is a sign, that this dish is old. Very nice condition. D : 14,9 cm.
