Measuring 4 inches long by 4.50 inches high by 3 inches deep, this fabulous, circa 1830's, English, porcelain, quill holder features a young, aristocratic lady surrounded by mounds of flowers and playing a lute.

Possibly Staffordshire, the quill holder features polychrome coloration with gold embellishment. Condition is wonderful with no chips, breaks, repairs, or repaints. Some discoloration seen under the base in the area where the quill hole is located...

A large lacquered papier maché table snuff box made in Braunschweig (Brunswick), Germany. The lid with a portrait of an old man, a prophet. Early 19th century, probably by Stockmann, unsigned. Diameter "4½/ 11 cm, height "1½/ 4 cm. Condition: a chip to the inner rim of the box, as seen on photo.

A nice collection of three Danish early Neolithic 'Step axes' dating to 4th-3rd mill. B.C.

This is also known as the perid of the 'Erteboelle'-culture, during which the use of hard stone for tools and weapons became more frequent.

All three axes a grinded to a cylindrical design, with an asymmetrical edge, suggesting they were mounted as adzes, on the woodden shaft in antiquity.

A genuine Guangxu Da Ya Zhai Porcelain Turquoise Bowl (1875-1908) with period markings and a lobed rim. Size: H. 3.5" x 8" top diameter and 3" bottom diameter. Condition: Has a hairline and the rim is broken in one spot which has been glued and a small hole which needs filling (see photographs). Needs a specialist to restore the bowl expertly. This very fine Nat known as "Ahmay (Mother) Shwe Na Bay" is a rare masterpiece of Burmese temple art. She protects fishermen and people working at Sea and on rivers. This solid wooden Nat is gilded in high quality gold leaf and inlaid with gorgeous mirror pieces. Excellent condition, no repairs, size: H. 23" (59 cm.) x W. 7.5" (19 cm.) x D. 6.5" (17 cm.)

Box in black lacquered wood inlaid with mother-of-pearl, golden details. The decor is composed of birds among plants and shrubs. The birds are very active, the one in the center tends to what appears to be a stylized egg in a nest? Probably a meaning. The designs are simple but harmonious and very elegant. The inlay work is empirical but the materials used are solide and they have stood the test of time well indeed the lacquer has not peeled off and the mother-of-pearl is still well maintained...

Edo period Japanese lacquered leather covered munitions box for gun powder. The leather hinged top has a gilt edge, on center is a copper metal clasp closure, and an iron chain handle. Double stamped in red lacquer with the Omodaka mon, which belongs to the Mizuno family clan. The box is in good condition.

Antique Japanese imari vase with a rounded middle and fluting mouth and foot. Two small grey and yellow fu dogs serve as handles. The body of the vase has bright yellow enamel background with scrolling vines, and images of fu dogs playing with each other. The bottom of the vase is marked in red. An antique Japanese Cha Tansu made from solid Keyaki (Zelkova) & Keyaki Burl woods with a Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood drawer back. Removable trick shelves behind the sliding side by side doors. Original bronze fittings and a lucky Gourd carved drawer handle out of Kakinoki (Persimmon) wood with the same wood used for the sliding door handles...

Diameter approximately 39.5 cm. There is a soft chip at the rim. In good condition.

Greek terracotta figurine portraying a nursing woman. Such a depiction is considered a kourotrophor: a protector or nurturer of children. She is wearing a chiton and a veil and she is nursing a naked boy. Likely Etruscan or Sicilian, ca. 5th.-4th. century BC.

Size: c. 14,8 cm. tall and 7 cm. deep.

Condition: Choice and intact still with some of it's pigment preserved.
