This is a fantastic pottery tile from the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD) with a heavy relief of a musician. This tile is in excellent condition and shows no signs of repair or restoration. It measures roughly 24 cm square and is roughly 4 cm thick. It weighs an impressive 7 pounds. This is a spectacular specimen of ancient Asian artwork suitable for any museum or high end private collection.

19th century Edo period Japanese kashira (metal pommel at the end of the hilt of a sword) with multimetal relief inlays depicting a Japanese spiny lobster (Panulirus japonicus). Wonderfully made piece with crisp metalwork, gilding and silver inlaid eyes, some wear. Length 1.29 inches.

Large antique bronze rain drum from Laos is a Herger type three drum. Reference material "The Karen Bronze drum of Burma" by Richard M. Cooler. It has two frogs (eight altogether) on top with a twelve pointed star with continuing concentric circle with stamp decoration. The side has two elephants and two snails representing water and fertility. A globular flared body rises with four attached handles of frog design. Circular concentric pattern continues throughout the body...

A very large plate decorated with a kylin surrounded by panels of cranes among pine and prunus trees, separated by formal lotus flowers.

Just a tad under 41 cm diameter. No cracks, chips or restoration. Some light wear from use.

Antique Chinese porcelain water coupe in the form of a pine branch. Whimsically sculpted with a gibbon hanging from it's handle. Glazed a lovely mauve color on the outside and a white glaze inside. Underside has Wang Bing Rong mark in a raised cartouche. Wang Bing Rong (1840-1900) specialized in carved decoration on porcelain and was active during the Tongzhi to Gunagxu Period.

A wonderful solid brass humidor, the top embossed with the double eagle insignia of Russia's Imperial Romanov family, and the front embossed with the double lions rampant of the British Empire. Pair Japanese Brass/Bronze Hibachi, late 19th century Meiji, with high relief design of travelers in beautiful landscape setting, elephant handles on both sides, 8 3/4" high, 9 7/8" diameter on top rim, 12 1/2" diameter include handles. There are some wear and tear from usage with some minor dents but no major damages. Compacted ash on the bottom remain for both Hibachis.
