Japanese tonkotsu, traditional box used to contain tobacco powder, aromas or medicines, made in root and decorated with mother-of-pearl floral applications. Floral applications made of mother of pearl are applied to the surface of the box, creating a contrast with the color of the root. In addition, a butterfly is also present on the tonkotsu. These plates were produced in Germany by KPM Royal Berlin Manufactory before 1920. They are 8 1/2 inches in diameter. The porcelain borders are cut out or reticulated in a lattice type pattern. They are hand painted in the style of Meissen. The flowers are colorful and realistic. You can see the veins in the leaves and the texture of the flower petals. Gilding accents the reticulated borders. Chose from A or B or buy them both. Condition: Excellent

Beautiful Gothic style, with the square handles and lovely chiselled floral decoration. With the original large bronze pestle and both with a terrific dark bronze patina.

This brilliant turquoise dish is molded with a multi-lobed well and flat rim, the edge of which has been polished. The base is flat and carries an incised “China” mark at the center. It is in good condition.

A four-case lacquer inro in iroe, togidashi, hirame and kirigane lacquer, on a nashiji lacquer background, decorated with a boat, sailing on the flow, carrying numerous passengers, there are some mountains in the background.

A small blue and white jarlet, decorated with chrysanthemum scroll and two ring handle to the neck. Yuan dynasty 13th-14th century in perfect condition. No any chip, no any crack and free from any restoration. Height: 6,2 cm.

Interesting conoid shaped stamp seal in black stone, probably serpentine, engraved on the base with a deer with large antlers and on the upperside with unidentified engravings. Greater Mesopotamia area and porabably from the Ubaid/Urum period 4th.-3rd. millenium BC.

Super nice stylized engraving of the deer! There's certainly some engravings on the upperside as well but uncleaned and unresearched.

Hard to find nowadays: slightly distorted shoe shaped (kutsugata) tea bowl from the early Edo Period with a rounded brim, made of little iron bearing, coarse, unrefined Mino clay. The expertly thrown body was trimmed with a potter's knife in its lower part around the foot ring.

The whole body was decorated with wide white parallel lines in a white engobe over which a thin line in iron oxide was drawn, over which finally transparent ash glaze was applied - really stunning...

A very early pair of child's shoes hand sewn and pegged and nailed. The shoes are fragile but one is much better than the other. They are early enough that the soles are identical with no difference in right and left shoe. They are 6" long and 3 1/2" tall. circa 1830. These early shoes are hard to find and look wonderful with a textile collection.

This is a perfect plate painted in full flora pattern in the greyish blue color , definitely an authentic chinese Qing dynasty era plate , probably mid Qing era , very nice design !
