Tall Chinese Western Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Soldier (206 BC - AD 8)
This impressive pottery model of a warrior was made over 2,000 years ago during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8); as can be seen by the quiver on its back, this figure is that of an archer. It is made from a dark grey pottery that has been "cold painted" in a base coat of white pigment with the features and details picked out in red and black pigments...
Museum quality ancient Han dynasty, 206 BC – 220 AD, lead green deep dish from Luoyang, Henan Province. Excellent patina with the original silvering left intact on the rim of the dish. The 3rd photo shows a spur mark left by one of the clay firing stilts used to prop the dish to prevent it from sticking to the kiln floor. We have not seen another advertised for sale anywhere, other than the common cold painted types...
An early and rare c1754 Bow porcelain sparrow beak creamer painted with oriental scenery. This fine piece had been part of the important Watney collection, and then was shown at the Amor exhibit . The underside has the 3 dot mark and retains the label from Amor. It has been part of our collection for 20 years.
Excellent condition with no issues, the jug is 3 1/4" tall.

Small Kagamibuta (button that acts as a netsuké in traditional Japanese clothing). However the size of this one is unusually too small. To my knowledge, there is no Kagamibuta of this size (32mm) usually the diameter of these exceeds 50mm. This is not the only particularity of this jewel, indeed the presence of glass paste is absolutely exceptional, there too, I do not know of any other netsuké, manju or kagamibuta created in this material...
Early 20th Century Chinese celadon jade carving of lotus pods bursting with seeds. Excellent condition, measures 2.5” long x 1.5” wide x 1” high
A finely carved late- to Neo-Assyrian black stone cylinder seal, depicting running animal in a superb style and very high relief, above is star and crescent, mid-to late Assyrian.
Size: 25 mm. tall and 12 mm. wide.
Condition: Near extremely fine and glossy, the cracks in the imprint depicted, are not in the seal!
Provenance: The Karl Müller collection, Germany 1950-1977. Comes with COA and his hard imprint.
Special Offer: Two Ming porcelains- 1# Simple Ming bowl with impressionist depiction of a cobalt blue underglaze vase with flowers. Perfect original condition, with a classic Ming Period “Bi” shaped footrim. There is one small unglazed spot on the edge of the bottom of the rim, this not a chip. D: 9.1cm/3.6in and H: 3cm/1.2in. 2# Lovely small Ming, blue and white jar, very thinly potted with simple floral scroll pattern. Perfect condition, H: 7.4cm/2.9in and D: 6.2cm/2.5in.
Japanese early Meiji period deep wood Merchant chest, or box with three(3) deep graduated size drawers with black iron handles, 11" high, 16 1/4" deep from front to back, 8" wide, retains light honey color original finish. Dovetail joint around the back corners, wood shrinkage on top and side, shows the wears and tears, all original condition.
Six small sterling beakers with gilt interiors by Edward H. Stockwell of London. All are marked appropriately. Only the bottoms which show very light wear and very faint spotting have been polished. They measures 1-3/4" x 1-1/4" at the widest point.Total weight is 1.8ozs.
A Yuan Longquan Celadon Jar with Dragon Decoration. Diameter approximately 8.5 cm and height approximately 7.7 cm. The jar has an original chip at the rim. There is a slightly different color tone. Good condition.
This is a large attractive cloisonne vase that we have had on display for many years. It is not signed and we're not sure of the Artist. It stands 24 inches tall and is in excellent condition. The smaller stand is included. The tall hardwood stand it is displayed on, stands 40 inches tall and is available.
Unusual 19th century bronze netsuke of a seated monk. Nicely cast, beautiful patina, some wear. Characters on the bottom appera to read ROKUSHIN, possibly the name of the artist. Height 1.23 inches.

Beautiful Japanese antique chobako (merchant's safe box) made all of keyaki (elm) wood with original deep reddish-orange lacquer finish, dramatic keyaki burl wood used, extensive dove tail joinery, heavy copper hardware including elaborately cut lock plates, top portion has sliding panels that reveal 4 small drawers of different sizes, bottom portion has one larger exterior drawer and a drop in door that covers 2 more small interior drawers, has 2 keys, Edo Period.

Attractive & massive stone Mortar and Pestle / millstone with ground stone, carved in Vulcanic rock and probably used for spices, perhaps with ritual purposes, Javanese hinduism in Indonesia, c. 9th.-11th. cent. AD.
The mortar carved in the shape of a roofed temple and with broad legs.
Size: 32,5 cm. long and 16,8 cm. wide and 11 cm. tall. Quite heavy! The pestle is c. 20,8 cm. long.
Condition: Choice Very fine and intact with fine wear from use and old age.
English Modern sterling silver cigar box, 1919. Rectangular with plain straight sides. Cover hinged with tapering tab; top gently curved with engine-turned wave ornament bordered by fretwork, and centrally mounted gold ring inset with word “CIGARS”. Interior cedar lined and partitioned. Underside leather lined.
Fully marked including Birmingham assay stamp and mark for WC Griffiths, a silversmith and retailer. Very good condition.

This is a Yuan Dynasty(1277-1367) celadon covered box. The top cover has a double circle with radiating club shaped like a sun ray all round. Just below it, is the design of foliage circling the all round. The flower part of the covered box also has foliage design design followed by a club shaped motif. The colour of the top half is lighter than the lower half of the covered box.
The covered box has minor abrasion and minute pinholes. No chip, crack, repair or restoration...
