This piece had been imported to Japan in 14th century by "Tenryu-ji ship", and so called "天龍寺青磁 Tenryu-ji celadon" in Japan. Antique Japanese large indigo Tsutsugaki yogi robe made out of a futon cover, with a paste-resist Kikumon, or Chrysanthemum crest on its back, also called the Imperial Seal of Japan. Tsutsugaki is a technique in which bindings are applied to the cotton threads in any desired pattern and dye is applied over them. Antique Japanese uma-jirushi, flag standard for battle. This uma-jirushi is in the shape of a large war sensu (folding war fan). Made of gold and black lacquered paper and lacquered wood. The front and back with round circle motif in alternating gold on black on one side and black on gold on the other. Mounted on a metal stand.

Antique Japanese sculpture of a hawk coming to rest on top of a gnarled rock. Wings spread wide, the hawk grips the rock with it's talons. Each feather is intricately carved.

This is Kara-Momen(China-Cotton) Obi- belt used in Japan for Edo period. As for this, rare how to weave is very impressive. As for this, cotton was spun by hand, and this thick was woven after it was plant dye, and a thread was dyed. Most of this type of cloth is left with odds and ends cloth. It is rare that this is left in the form of complete Obi- belt. This does not have the damage having several places of slight fading...

Brilliant snuff bottle made of crystal glass with blue, pink, and gold flecked glass spun into the matrix body. The sides and bottom of the bottle have a star design etched into the glass, and its ameythyst stopper is encircled by its silver toothed border base. early 20th century Size: 2.75" tall, 2" wide

This is not your typical cloisonne. The beautiful Chinese vase is one of the best quality that I have personaly owned in many years. Notice the 8 graceful cranes,chrysanthemums and other flowers. The colors are bright. I have been told that this vase is pre 1900. THERE IS NO DAMAGE ON THIS ITEM. IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION and sits on a wooden rosewood base.

Antique Korean bowl, with a rich crackle celadon glaze. Its outer edges are incised with thick lotus petals. The bowl displays small, buff areas, bare from the natural dripping of the glaze.

Superbly modeled, eyes inlaid with black horn. Excellent wear and patina, old stable age lines, compressed dust on the surface, extremely pleasant to handle. Formerly in the Raymond Bushell collection, illustrated in NETSUKE FAMILIAR AND UNFAMILIAR, p. 208, number 641. Length 1 1/2 inches.
