This antique copper reposse gau houses a picture instead of a clay tsa tsa which was common for a family gau. when the family could afford to do so, the picture would be replaced by a clay tsatsa. Curiously, this gau also houses 2 amulets, which were typically provided by a monk. The paper is very old and I am told it is bad Karma to unfold the amulet...

A lovely Japanese painting on paper of two men observing the moon. This scroll was sold on consignment by a Japanese dealer named Sakura. According to Sakura and in his opinion, this painting would date from 1800-1849, and is in fair to good condition. All genuine antique scrolls will show signs of wear and discoloration and in some cases damp staining. The painting appears to be salvaged and remounted at least 20 years ago. The scroll fits into a custom made box...

Very fine large Meiji Era Japanese porcelain bowl with a delicately painted floral motif accented with gold gilt highlights. The side of the bowl features cranes in various flying poses. There is an old staple and gold repair at the rim. Looking into the bowl it is not visible unless you are seriously looking for it. See last 2 photos. Bowl rings nicely. Strand of Yuan to Ming Dynasty white “milk” glass trade beads excavated from the Tak Hilltop burial site along the Thai Burmese border. These can be dated to the14th to 16th CE because they were found the same strata as easily datable Chinese and Vietnamese ceramics. Please examine enlargements for condition.
