This Chinese pink glazed vase is a mid 19th century product. The entire body is covered with a soft rosy pink glaze, commonly called du Barry rouge. The Chinese name for the shape of this kind of vase is “Tian Qiu Vase” 天 球 瓶. It is 8” high and 5” wide measured from the widest part. It has an honorable “Yong Zhong” 雍 正 (1723~1735) mark on the bottom. It is in excellent condition. More detailed photos are available.

The lid's top has pink flowers with pretty twisting vines, and around the bottom of the bowl is a blue-green wave pattern. Set of two (2) Chinese porcelain tea cups decorated with blue linear designs and flowers in shades of red, blue, and greenish yellow with long stems and pretty green leaves. The inside bottom of each cup has an orange flower between two yellow flowers within a blue ring. Mark on bottom reads "Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi" or "Great Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period, Made". Chinese blanc de chine porcelain statue of Quan Yin, the Buddhist bodhisattva associated with compassion. Her name is short for Guanshiyin, meaning "Observing the Cries of the World." She stands upon strong, rolling winds and holds a lotus flower in her left hand. The statue is hollow and is pierced through her ears, eyes, and nostrils. 18th/19th Century Size: 12" height, 4.5" width

Burmese painting done on a large, cloth canvas, likely depicting the Jataka tales, or stories of Buddha, with nine separate panels, each depicting a different tale of Buddha's previous lives. The very center painting shows Buddha sitting in a lotus position with two attendants at his sides, their hands clasped in prayer to him, and it is the only panel that does not have any Burmese script in white paint...

The saddle seat is Leather and decorated with small tuffs of wool yarn and strips of flat metal (presumed low grade silver) which are embed into the leather in an ornate geometric design.

I replaced the tie which secured the front of the seat to the metal saddle tree...the original cord was literally falling apart...Limited research indicates this saddle was from Rajastan India.

Painted with a central motif of a stylised sansui landscape based on one of the eight views of Omi framed by elaborate symmetrically arranged Thistle sprays, azami, emblematic of spring. A fine quality early Eighteenth century export saucer dish decorated with a central kikkumon and sprays of Chrysanthemums and Prunus branches in a five colour palette sans aubergine enamel. The reverse decorated with three prunus sprays. The dish has elements of slightly raised moulded decoration in the form of three plum flowers and three chrysanthemum blooms...

Second of three molded, foliate Kangxi blue and white plates in superb condition. Decorated with eight figures in period costumes in cobalt blue. No chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs or glaze crackle. About 9-1/4" or 23.5cm diameter. The "sleeve dance" depicted can be traced back at least as early as the Zhou dynasty. Please note the finely decorated reverse side with ring of Lingzhi cartouches. Under glaze cobalt blue is identical on all three plates...

Well potted lobed form. The cobalt blue and the representation of the decoration of a Crane is extraordinary nice. Hongzhi - Zhengde Period, Jingdezhen ware. ( A crane decoration was common during the late Ming Periods, but a crane decoration on an middle Ming dish is rare ) Diameter : 20,4 cm. Condition : Perfect. Very nice glaze. Chinese jade snuff bottle that has been expertly carved into a gourd, with vines and large leaves coiled around. A butterfly has been carved near the base, a symbol for longevity, beauty, and elegance. The bottle is specially carved with a small hole near the opening so that it may be hung from a necklace or belt. It has a lovely green jade stopper. 19th century Size: 3" length, 1.25" width

Japanese antique single section isho tansu (storage chest for clothing), made with all keyaki (elm) wood on drawer fronts, the sides and top are sugi (cryptomeria) wood and lacquered a deep reddish brown, nice iron hardware with warabite shaped drawer pulls, seven drawers of various sizes, Meiji Period. Size: 33 1/4" high x 35 1/2" wide x 17 1/2" deep.

This stoneware dish is shaped in the form of an oval tray with straight walls, raised on four molded feet. It is glazed overall with a semi-transparent brownish-amber glaze with areas of faint purples and reds. An unglazed area in the center of the base is brush painted with six Chinese characters in iron slip glaze. Some kiln cracking is present on one end and the typical wear for an item of this age and use is evident on the feet and areas of the glaze...

A Very Fine and Rare Korean Silver Inlaid Hexagonal Iron Box-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century. A well silver inlaid on the iron box with a big character “ Shu” –a longevity- on the top surouned by geometric designs, on the 6 sides inlaid with 6 characters “ Auspisious letter” also surrounded by geometric designs. It’s in very fine condition with a dark black patina around the body. Measurement: 9.2cm d. x 5.2 cm h.

Inlaid in black and white slip on the interior with a wide band of alternating ducks, willows and Autumn plants below narrower bands of circles, the exterior of the bowl inlaid with a pair of white slip inlaid rings, some celadon glaze applied unevenly on the exterior with some sand traces on the foot rim...

Antique Japanese print depicting the founder of the Shingon or "True Word" school of Buddhism, Kūkai (774-835). He was a famous calligrapher and engineer who invented the kana, syllabic Japanese scripts used in the Japanese writing system. He sits holding prayer beads upon an elaborate lotus throne with lovely gold filligree and a small blue beast sitting below...

Beautiful, original woodblock print by ukiyo-e woodblock artist Utagawa Kunisada, also known as Toyokuni III (1786–1864). It is #22 in a series called Sono sugata Yukari no usushi-e, or "Stories of Reincarnated Beings". In the center of the print there is a young child, hunched forward as he eagerly listens to stories from an adult woman in a pink kimono with blue and grey sleeves, with a sheathed sword across her lap. A bowl of treats and a black lamp with flowers sits between them...

Massively huge Dark Bronze Japanese Temple Bell Bowl, with ridged edges along its rim and raised, scale-like pattern around its bottom. . Japanese Temple Bell Bowl was used during chanting, or as an indication of a change in time or activity. This is truly the largest bell bowl I have ever seen.
