A rather unusual glazed Chinese yixing tea pot. Traditionally, mixing tea posts are unglazed and this pot combines unglazed sections, such as the interior and the glazes that encompass the exterior side of the pot. The pot contains a seal on both the undersides of the lid and pot, of the maker attributing to Zhao Jingnan. Zhao Jingnan was a noted artist specializing in producing fixing and zhisha tea wares during the Qing Dynasty...

This antique traditional Chinese pocket size opium scale comes in its original wooden case. Dating to the Qing Dynasty, the case contains all the original implements needed to weight gold and other precious metals and/or opium: a brass pan, a weight, and an ivory balance beam marked with 2 different weight calibration gauges. The wood case measures roughly 7 inches long and the ivory beam is 6 inches long.

A special Philippine wooden Santo of St. Rocco obtained in the Philippines in the 1980's. Painted wood carving of figure, home ecoration Estimated to be 19th Century. Nine (9) inches in length.

A nicely made English wine glass featuring a conical bowl with "hammering" on the lower two thirds of the bowl. The stem is a double series opaque twist with a central lace twist and an outer pair of 6-ply spiral bands. Conical foot with rough snapped pontil. Good color, tooling marks, and striations.

The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, restoration or other problems. Height is 7", with a bowl diameter of 2 3/8" and a foot diameter of 2 7/8".

Chinese hardwood altar table, made of solid elm wood with its original red lacquer finish. Carved with dramatic scrolling legs on elevated feet. Five panel carvings in front depict various scenes with auspicious elements, dragon carvings in archaic style, the underside with scalloped edges. The altar style edges curl upwards in a scrolling fashion, with reticulated carvings of dragons below either side.

A fine double series opaque twist (DSOT) wine glass with a conical bowl leading into a stem with a central gauze surrounded by two heavy spiral threads. The bowl has molded fluting in the lower three quarters.

The elongated round funnel bowl sits atop a double series opaque twist (DSOT) stem that contains a 9-ply spiral band outside of a pair of heavy spiral threads. Rare and important head of a bearded centurion wearing his helmet, his face showing a strong and fierce expression. Polychrome wood. Eyes made of glass painted inside. Of Spanish origin, dating back to the 18th century, this head was found in the Philipines in 1978. Height: 30.3 cm. This is a very rare trans Paleo to early Archaic point dating to 10,500-9000 B.P. This is a large size arrow point that has long tip to base convex turning parallel sided blade edges that transition into drooping basal auricles. The basal edge is concave and the haft is ground. Antique Tibetan gilt bronze figure of the Buddhist deity Kubera, lord of wealth, protector of the physical world. He lounges with piles of gold around him. In one hand he holds a mongoose, who is said to spit jewels. The mongoose shows rule over the Naga (malevolent snake people and guardians to vast treasure). Kubera is shown seated on his vehicle, a large beast atop a lotus pod throne.

Antique Japanese large indigo Tsutsugaki yogi robe made out of a futon cover, with a paste-resist Kikumon, or Chrysanthemum crest on its back, also called the Imperial Seal of Japan. Tsutsugaki is a technique in which bindings are applied to the cotton threads in any desired pattern and dye is applied over them. The bindings resist the dye, leaving behind patterns in the original color of the threads. The edges of fabric are sewn together using white sashiko stichwork.
