Antique Japanese small lacquer safe box with hinged door and 3 small interior drawers. Decorated on all sides including the drawer fronts with detailed harakusa (octopus vine) design in fine maki-e lacquer on a dense nashiji ground. The drawers are covered on all sides in fine nashiji gold flakes. Hardware is made of silver and incised with a similar scrolling vine motif.

A small celadon bottle vase, decorated to the body with iron-brown spots and rising with spiral form neck. Northern Song period PERIOD : Song Dynasty 960-1279 AD. MEASUREMENTS: 9.7 cm height. CONDITION: very good, minor frittings on the rim, no cracks or hairlines and free from restorations.

Antique early 18th-century Islamic Indo-Persian Indian Mughal steel shield Dhal. The shield is circular and convex, hand-hammered from a single piece of thick solid steel with visible hammer marks on the inside but a perfectly smooth exterior surface.

Rare water-pot,dropper? (too little for wine and not covered for tea) for schollar in Sancai enameled porcelain, Kangxi period. Fruit-shaped, appears to be a pomegranate, with stem leaves and flower. The flower is admirably made with thin petals like paper which is daring, miraculously none is missing, however, looking with a magnifying glass we can see on the edges of small gaps that we can guess or imagine on photo but it is not obvious because the petals are naturally jagged...
