Sculpture of a bald headed man with a serene face, sitting while holding a small cymbal and drum stick in his hands. The cymbal and stick are connected to each other by a cord. The man dressed in Korean garment, as it is worn by Boddhisatva. Lime stone? Inside hollowed out. Korea, Choseon period, 18th century.
Height inches 14.2 inches (36 cm).
Excellent condition. Some pits in the surface, some traces of former pigmentation...

Turquoise glazed, pottery bowl with flaring body rising from a short foot. The sides and center decorated with a floral petals. Perhaps a stylized bird in the center. and a star-shaped or radiated element.

Condition: Superb. Beautiful iridescent patina.

A Large, Splendid Bronze Walking Buddha Figure, Thailand 17th Century. With his left leg slightly raised over a square pedestal, his left hand raised in abhaya mudra and his right hand gracefully extended alongside his body. Wearing a diaphanous sanghati over his left shoulder and flaring down toward a gently undulating hemline. His face with graceful serene meditative expression, downcast eyes under arched eyebrows, elegated earlobes...

Green glazed pottery wirh wonderful iridescence. The roof can be removed and the pig can be taken out of the sty. Similar pieces can be found in the book 'The Spirit of Han'. An unusual large Japanese bowl featuring three light purple elephants in ceremonial attire resting among many flowers. The bowl is excellent condition, except for some wear to the gold around the rim. Measures 11.5 inches in diameter. Dates late Edo, late 1840's.
