This early 20th century Chinese porcelain water jar is 2 ½ inches tall and 2 ¼ inches wide. It has hand painted butterflies and a floral design over a white background. The color is slightly worn and it is in good condition.

A rare and finely carved boxwood box. The lid carved with a poem, one long side has a scene with three goats in a garden, the other long side has a scene with two figures in a garden with pavillions, one short side has a garden scene with a flying bird, the other short side is plain. On the inside of the box there painted Chinese characters, which possibly represent the name of the owner.

Quirky pair of fishing bobs from the Mentawai Islanders off the coast of West Sumatera. These are probably multifunctional as I have seen them described variously as turtle net buoys, fishing bobs as well as net weavers. The larger one has a fishing hook fashioned from a nail as well as old stone bead. L: 49.5/19.5in and 53cm/20.8in.
A charming ivory shishi dog netsuke. Signed by artist and in excellent condition, it dates circa 1880-1900. Measures 1 3/4 inches long by 1 1/2 inches high.
From our Japanese Collection, a large and very regal pair of imari vases, Meiji Period 1868-1912, beautifully executed in traditional palette of iron red, orange, blue, and gilt on a white porcelain body, with kiln marks to the base.
Size and Condition: 12 1/4 inches tall, 6 1/2 inches wide. Some light rubbing to the gilt in places commensurate with age and handling, but essentially perfect condition.

Antique 17h -18th century Islamic Indo-Persian helmet Kulah-Khud.
The helmet's hemispherical skull is formed by hand-hammering a single piece of thick, solid steel. The interior displays visible hammer marks, while the exterior surface is entirely smooth. The skull is adorned with a long, thick spike and two plume holders.
The entire surface of the skull is finely hand-chiseled, in low relief, with a floral pattern and six circular medallions...

This is Kyogen Hakama which the child of the rich civilian of Kyoto used for the Meiji period.
This has the crest that Kyogen is characteristic of the part of the waist. As for this, the whole is dyed with an indigo plant by Katazome. This has several places of thin dirts. And this has several places of extremely small holes. As for this, cotton is thin. Kyogen Hakama of the child is very rare.

A sometsuke dish of twelve sided dodecagonal form painted in a refined Kakiemon style. The rim border is divided into six fan shaped panels decorated with three sets of alternating floral compositions featuring respectively Bamboo, take, Peonies and rocks, botan, and shibagaki Brushwood fences. The centre painted with Cherry trees and a formal balustrades.
The reverse is decorated with a Kraak style pattern of strapwork divisions and stylised flowers...

"Seto Guro" refers to a specific type of Japanese pottery known as "Seto blackware" or "Seto-guro-yaki" in Japanese...
Two characters with bird beaks serving as incense holders. They are in sandstone covered with lead glassures of three colors (sancai), yellow, green and manganese, these models also have a part enamelled in white. Models with animal masks are much rarer than those with human faces and probably represent the animals of the zodiac. Good condition, almost not worn, a broken and glued head visible on photos. The glassure is finely cracked. Height: 325mm. Chinese work probably 17°, but maybe before.
A set of five, sometsuke tusurugata kozara, blue and white Crane shaped small dishes dating to the late seventeenth century. An identical set of dishes is illustrated in volume II of the Shibata Collection at page 272 no 714, there dated c.1680-1710. Their condition is good all the dishes show crazing to the glaze, two have a minute chip each to the edge. Similar shaped dishes have been excavated from the Sarukawa kiln at Arita...

The front design is executed in the Transitional style, the back site of this dish is painted in the Ming Jiajing style, and the mark in the center is the Imperial Ming Xuande mark !

Unusual Ming Dynasty stoneware celadon glazed censer on a reddish clay body, possibly Longquan or an allied kiln, uncommon to see fine translucent craquelure. Good condition- no cracks or damage just some bits of kiln grit adhering to the glaze surface. D: 11.5cm/4.5in and H: 5.5cm/2.1in
This is a finely carved and molded Rock Hair crystal Snuff Bottle in the form of a double gourd. A bat with spread wings under a hanging circular decoration is carved on both sides of the bottle. The transparency of the tea-colored crystal enables the thin brownish color criss-crossed hairs to be seen in a dramatic way. The bottle rests on a raised footing. It comes with a milk chocolate and black hardstone stopper.

This is a fantastic example of an ancient bronze mace head. This piece was part of a large collection of bronze weapons from the middle East. There are four radial spike protruding from the head. The socket is hollow and slightly flared near the bottom. There is a perforation for attaching the socket to a shaft. This piece weighs 222 grams and measures just under 10 cm. Mace heads like this are very rare and quite desirable for collectors. This piece won't last long!!
