A white-slipped terracotta bowl with a rounded base, curved walls, a deep interior cavity, and a thin rim.

It features a nice geomethric decoration in a rich brown hue.

Size: 12,5 cm. in diameter and ca. 7-8 cm. tall.

Condition: Nice and intact, small pinhole in the wall and a blemmage in the bottom, perhaps oil or residue from former mounting?

15th Century Chinese Gilt Lacquer Bronze Manjushri Buddha Kwan-Yin on Lion Statue

She is 6.9 inches (17.5 cm) tall by 7.9 inches (20 cm) wide. She is 1327 gram.

She has loss of gilded lacquer and patina, chips near her foot, oxidation, pitting, firing holes, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

This charming adult female Door of Hope doll is 11 inches tall. Her face is somewhat darkened with age and the lower fronts of her trouser legs are faded from sunlight. She has all of her original clothing layers. Her top tunic is a bit dirty in the front and has a small tear at the rear of the right sleeve. Yet, even with these "condition problems" she retains the quiet beauty which has made the door of hope dolls such a collectors treasure.

The stone has a lustrous patina and has a very dramatic ‘splash’ of red on both sides. It has never been carved with a designation and the base has now a shallow flake as a result of an impact on the edge, with a little powdery material showing. Further along there is a tiny bruise to the edge. These could be taken out by reducing the length by 0.4cm. Personally the chip does not worry me...
