Antique, early 19th century Chinese Qing Dynasty Canton enameled copper Famille rose box and cover. The top and two sides are finely hand-painted with colorful enamel against a white ground, depicting ladies and attendants at leisure on the garden terrace in rectangular panels. All surrounded by roses with leafy branches on a cobalt blue ground. The other two sides have the "Shou" emblem painted in brown enamel with gold borders.

Within a moulded rim painted with auspicious objects alternating with peaches, the underside with lingzhi fungus in panels. There are the usual chatter marks to the base and the dish is slightly warped. C1590/1620. Dia. 14 7/8" (38.0cm). Condition; usual minor frits to rim. Two shallow chips, 1.3cm and 0.5cm to inside of footrim...

Hinged doors open to 7 drawers of varying sizes...

A large antique 19th century Indian Hindu temple puja bell or Ghanta the janus handle with figures of the monkey God Hanuman and Garuda. The bowl engraved with two elephants and zebu bull and floral pattern and scrolls.

CONDITION: Showing age and usage, handle slightly bent the figures appear to be well worn from ritual use and handling with nice old patina. In working order - sounds good!

This is the Katazome cotton festival costume used in Edo during the Edo period. It is dyed with natural indigo. Cotton is hand-spun and thick. It has a few repair marks, but it doesn't stand out. The gently domed top of this incense box is decorated with a traditional painting of crane diving for fish over sea rock. The sides of the box lid have scalloped indents to allow for easy opening. Box is 5+ inches x 3+ inches X2 inches high.

It was nicely decorated and in perfect condition.

A Chinese porcelain vase decorated with flowers and butterfly and other motifs in famille rose enamel. This is a rare example which demonstrates the earliest famille rose decoration on Chinese porcelains. Early 18th century - late Kangxi to Yongzheng period. Conditions: A hairline (1") from top to the shoulder of the vase; a very tiny flake at the bottom near the foot rim. Height: 7-1/2".

A wildly crafted bronze image of a shishi lion breathing out a cloud forming the basin for a flower arrangement (known as an usubata). The curly hair has been somehow flaked off and maintained during the casting process, quite an exceptional example. The basin can be removed from the mouth of the creature. Assembled it is 32 x 28 x 33 cm tall (12-3/4 x 11-1/4 x 13 inches) and weighs 4390 grams (9.5 pounds). It is in fine original condition.

Chinese Ming 16th century sancai dish decorated with fish motive. 27,2 cm diameter. 4,3 cm high. Conditions : Have small chipped at the rim and glaze peel at one area (please see on the pictures) no crack, no repair or additional colour.

An old Chinese brass furniture lock. Unusual dog form where the tail closes the clasp in the back of the dogs head. A separate key pushes the tail clasp apart from the dog's body. Three pieces total. Good condition with old, accumulated surface patina. Probably 19th century. Would work nicely for an antique Chinese furniture collector. Length, about 4 1/2 inches from end of the dog's looped tail to tip of its nose (doesn't include any additional extension when the key is inserted)

This attractively-shaped pottery jar was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). It is relatively highly-fired and has been made from flat slabs of pottery that have been luted together in imitation of an archaic bronze vessel...

Fairly large bowl of irregular round shape with indentations in upper edge and openings in the side, decorated with a large red lobster. The spiny lobster is traditionally eaten during the New Year. It is an auspicious food, as its curved back reminds of an elderly person, and it thus is a symbol of longevity.

Light colored stoneware with white glaze, over which iron red and some black (lobster) and thick, dripping green glaze.
