This is a Japanese antique indigo dy sakiori noragi hanten of paper, Hemp, cotton. It is an item from the Edo to Meiji era. This item was made in Sado region of Japan. It is a wonderful sakiori noragi haten, which is woven with very finely twisted indigo dye, hemp yarn and paper twist. The rubbing of the thread due to use has a warm touch. And the indigo dye lumps seem to look into the very beautiful sea. It does not stain or damage...

Width approximately 6.6 cm (across the handles). Some soft dents at the body.

Small funeral mirror, of circular shape, decorated in relief with two tigers. Traces of the original gilding. Bronze, with fine age patina. China, Jin Dynasty. Diameter: 7.1 cm. Very good condition. With spherical body on short foot, the tubular neck with traces of engravings, the handle with beading and pomegranate thumb-rest, minor dents, hairline crack and a couple of small holes to body, but intact, overall patination to surface.
