Beautiful Chinese antique porcelain bowl, with golden rim, made during the reign of Emperor Daoguang (1821-1850). Painted along its sides are beautiful young Chinese girls performing leisurely tasks, such as painting scrolls and reading, wearing bright and colorful robes in shades of pink, blue, purple, and green, and surrounded by potted flowers. Mark on bottom reads "Da Qing Daoguang Nian Zhi" or "Qing Dynasty Daoguang period make".

Antique set of two Japanese flower vase known as an usubata, used in the art of ikebana or flower arranging, made from mixed metals. They both have square tops with a swirling wind design blowing silver and gold leaves about, oriental designs along the top rim, and beautiful flower designs along the outer rim. The left and right sides of the usubatas' bodies have very detailed dragons with lashing tongues and finned wings...
A Suanzi wood scholar tray was in rectangular form.
Decently preserved in nice patina, the wood tray was found on the reverse side with inscription attributed to an official of Japanese occupation district in China during World War Two.
During that periods, the Japanese invasion troops undertook the task of finding Chinese antiques back to Japan.
The tray was sent as a gift in great respect due to the excellent craftsmanship on the carving of the inscription...
Superb Taisho Period C. 1915 Japanese tea ceremony bronze flower vase. Placed in the tokonoma of a Japanese Tea House with a single flower it evokes the essence of wab sabi and the soul of the tea ceremony. Lovely art deco bulbous shape with wave diaper on the base. Large Song Celadon bowl, olive green in color. In very good condition without chips or cracks. There is an incised flower pattern in the bottom of the bowl. Otherwise, small fritting /granulation is evident in the bottom of the bowl and a couple of these may have been compromised/worn down. Nice overall symmetrical shape and crackle in the glaze is quite faint. Diameter: 7 plus inches and 3 inches in height.

This Chinese golden colored Sha-green is large by shagreen standards...it spans almost 7 inches at the longest point front to back, and stands just over 3 inches high. The top clearly has some scuffs and loss to the hide, which for me enhance the beauty of the box.
The box is hinged at the back and the inside is lined with leather.

This vase is painted in green, yellow, turquoise and black enamel on a pale aubergine background, depicting various dignitary figures in a garden setting. The interior is fully glazed white, having some minor pitting and small iron specks in the glaze. The base is unglazed with areas of light orange re-oxidation from the firing, and the fine white paste is visible around the perimeter. There is a spurious Zhengde mark in black enamel on the shoulder...
