A wonderful 19th Century Boy's Day Ningyo of a boy dressed as a Samurai in full armor, featuring a dragon, sword, helmet, and bow and arrows. His wonderful face is carved of wood and covered with many layers of Gofun (oyster sell lacquer). He is riding a battle horse in full dress, all creating a spectacular work of art. Edo Period Japanese Musha Ningyô (Boy's Day Doll) depicting the legendary Toyotomi Hideyoshi seated in a court position wearing dramatic brocades and lacquered armor, a fan in his right hand and wearing a classic Eboshi cap. Two very bright famille jaune (yellow background) ginger jars. These stunning early 20th (C 1910-20) are in excellent condition and very rare to find in this palette, let alone an undamaged pair with lids. Very richly enameled. Condition is excellent without chips, hairlines, etc. Size: 9" high and 8.75 across at the widest.

This antique Chinese hat would have been worn by a child and probably made and embroidered by a grandparent. This hat is old and has unusual silver ornaments in the front. Condition is pristine with the exception that the large round silver ornament decoration is missing 2 small prongs, and the silk ribbon bordering the extension of the wind cover for protecting the back of the childs neck also has some deterioration areas.

Description:

A Longquan bowl was mold in decent Bo(elm bowl) shape.
It was applied on the surface with celadon bean-green glaze and was uniquely carved with willow leaves (Liutiao) patterns for decoration.
The darken firing tint was yielded at the bottom from where the body clay was revealed.
Foggy-look condition was observed in the glaze.

A Yaozhou bowl in the documentation was in the same willow leaves patterns.

Date: Yuan Dynasty, 13th century...

Oversize axe of rhomboid shape with a short vertical and a broader horizontal blade. Roughened surface and a central perforation to insert a pole. The use of the item is unclear, also in view of the considerable weight of four kilogram. The type is described in the literature as axe hammer and also as double axe. Rare Chinese Neolithic Pottery Jar - Banshan / Majiayao Culture (c. 2600 - 2300 BC)

This very rare and unusual pottery jar was made over 4,000 years ago by peoples of the Majiayao Culture, most likely during the Banshan phase (c. 2600 - 2300 BC). It is made from quite a coarse pottery and fairly "crudely" made. It is of a most unusual form with the small loop handle at its top and the wide spout. 

Diameter 13.5 cm, height 10 cm...

Two very unique and richly painted Chinese porcelain hat stands of the late 19th century. Charming scenes of the traditional family relaxing in an open garden setting, the garments are painted in various bright colors against a backdrop of nature. Condition is excellent with no hairlines or chips, just some minor rubbing of the gold trim and very trace fading of the details, yet all details are distinct and complete. These measure 11" high x 4.5" diameter.

This is a Northern Song dynasty small russet black glazed henan splash bowl. It stand on a short recessed footrim and then the body everted upwards into a U-shaped with the mouth rim slightly everted inwards. The body of the small bowl is sturdily potted with a few splashed in the centre of the bowl and strips on the cavetto. On the outside body of the bowl, it has strips running from the top to bottom...

A Chinese Ge-Type Censer, Qing Dynasty. Diameter approximately 21 cm. In good condition.

This traditional small leather purse would have been used as an ornament and hung from a belt by a Tibetan woman during festival. It is heavily decorated with silver metal, turquoise and coral beads. This is an old one and is in excellent condition.
