An antique Chinese dehua (also known as blanc de chine) of a man riding a donkey-like animal. Unlike the normal subject matter often produced in dehua porcelain, the figure is not dressed in a Chinese manner, but in a European style. The back contains two seals: the gourd shaped seal reads: dehua and the square seal is possibly the artist name, which translates as: seal of Ke Qianzhong. Age: Late 19th -20th century. This antique cinnabar lidded jar vase form is surrounded with deeply carved garden landscape scenes with several men and woman including and older man and small child. The carved details of people, plants and house facades are all clear with no loses.

This cinnabar jar is in very good condition. It stands 6.5 inches and 6 inches wide. The word China is handwritten on the bottom, which indicates that the piece was made between 1890 and 1914.

A Chinese Bronze Censer, Qing Dynasty. Diameter approximately 11.2 cm (across handles), height approximately 4.5 cm (without the stand) 6.7 cm (with the stand). The censer has few tiny dents. Good condition.

The dish on the right hand side shows a group of figures struggling against a gale probably inspired by the woodcutShono Shono from the Fifty three Stations on Tokaido Highway, but adapted with a great deal of licence...

A river runs past deeply forested hills populated by rooftops in this naïve ink painting reflecting the charm of rural Japan by Shirakura Niho. Ink on paper mounted in a green cloth border extended with beige featuring Shunkei nuri lacquered wooden rollers which would instantly call to mind the mountain village of Takayama, home of the Shunkei style. It is 52.5 x 116.5 cm (20-1/2 x 46 inches) and comes in the original signed wooden box titled Satoyama Fukei (Mountain Village Scenery)...

This is a finely carved 19th Century rectangular Manju netsuke depicting the Two Sennin kanzan and Jittoku, who are standing and holding a large ball. The two sennin are brothers, and are Usually Represented as juveniles with the faces of old age. Both are Said to have lived in a kitchen, as feeble-minded men speaking in unknown language (Karl Schwartz, "Netsuke Subjects"). Well done carving with fine detail and at owesome patina. Unsigned...

Original eighteenth century Chelsea Seal in the form of a grotesque figure of a black masked man with 3 cornered ("tri-corn") hat. The tri-cornered hat was a popular hat worn in the 18th century by both aristocracy and commoners, as it was designed to better reveal one's highly fashionable wig. Our male figure is in black breeches, standing on a white base with the motto "Tou jour gay" ("always happy")...

Exhibited, is a fine European antique cane with an incredible carved ivory handle in form of a dog's head, close attention to every details, sterling silver pommel with hallmark, barely visible, bronze ferrule. Size: The carved ivory handle measures 2.5 inches long and overall length of the cane is 31 inches long. This item is so delicate that it is my personal opinion that it has been crafted for display purposes, shaft is very fragile and I couldn't figure out the type of wood...
