This porcelain plate was produced in Germany in the late 19th century. It has a maker’s mark under the glaze we do not recognize. The plate is 8 1/2 inches in diameter. This porcelain platter was produced in Germany by Hermann Ohme. It was sold white to the Donath Dresden decorating studio in the late 19th century. The platter has a diameter of 11 1/4 inches. The porcelain is molded with deep swirls and has a scalloped border. The center of the platter is beautifully hand painted with a bouquet of flowers. They are realistically painted and are vivid in color. The border of the platter has intricate gilding.

This antique chinese hat would have been worn for festival by a Yi ethnic minority girl (woman) from the Honghe area. Worn for festival, the "cockssome cap" is elaborately decorated with faceted silver beads. Enlargement 5 shows cock hat as it would be worn. Hat comes with its own custom made stand.

Old kasuri (Japanese ikat) kimono worn on celebratory occasions. The fabric, which is woven with asa(hemp) and dyed in indigo (aizome), is coarse and stiff yet lustrous with an almost transparent look. The pattern is geometrical and pictorial; with flowering wisteria branches, stylized pines, Chinese style clouds, fans and phoenix-like birds. This very well carved black and celadon jade (nephrite and jadeite) bead necklace is an early 20th century product. All the beads are well carved; it is quite possible this was a court necklace. After being restrung, it is a beautiful 31” long necklace now. It has 36 black beads and 4 celadon beads. The black beads are about 11/16” in diameter; the celadon beads are about 13/16” in diameter. The colors are very even and the carvings are superb...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Spode before 1825. It has the hand painted puce number 739 on both pieces. The set is in the “London” shape. The porcelain is very fine bone china. It is hand painted with sprays of brightly colored flowers. There is a cobalt blue border decorated with elaborate gold designs. The outside of the cup is also decorated with gold.

This is a small Ming dynasty longquan or celadon vase. The longquan vase stand on a short foot rim with a recessed base. The outer footrim is slightly shaved inward. From the footrim, it everted upward into a bulbous body and then narrow upward to a long thin neck with a slightly widen rim mouth. Longquan vase of such shape is harder to come by compared to the longquan/celadon plate or bowl.
