The Geldermalsen was a cargo ship belonging to the Dutch East India Company that struck a reef on its way back from Canton China, and sank off the coast of Indonesia in the Linnga archipelago...

Superb covered incense box entirely gold lacquered with decoration of bamboo leaves and wisteria in a lake environment and on a base of nashiji gold powder. The 2 parts of the box are surrounded by shibuishi (silver and copper alloy). Edo period 18/19th century. Diameter 6cm x Height 3,5cm.

A porcelain (hard paste) baluster form coffee pot decorated with a small bouquet of flowers and a few sprigs on one side and a few sprigs on the other with reddish purple ribbon with flowers around the top of the pot and the outside of the lid. This is samurai's battle surcoat in Edo period. It is a family crest of the deer horn and the character in the cotton of the indigo dye. There is a motif of Maru also in surroundings of the skirt. It is very a battle surcoat of Chatami. There are discoloration in the plain wood cotton and the white ground of the collar.There is no damage. It is very good. A pair of porcelain dinner plates with molded basketweave edge and swirl ribbing with the lines extending into the well. Decorated with hand painted overglaze flowers and a gilt edge. The style closely resembles Meissen, but these are unmarked. The four ribs in four groups of four is identical with a plate pictured in Godden's book on Coalport that he dates from c. 1805 to 1810. 10 inches (23.5 cm) diameter. Unmarked.

A George III Silver Galleried Inkstand; assayed in London 1779, with the makers mark "WA" for William Abdy. Dimensions; 7.5" x 3" x 3" high. Shaped with and hourglass cross section and pierced gallery cut glass wells with silver lids, wood base. Fully marked and in very good condition.

A beautiful English baluster wine glass of Kit Cat, or Kit Kat, type with a trumpet bowl containing a small tear, above a double collar, which is, in turn, above a shoulder knop, a true baluster knop, and a basal knop. Interestingly enough, a true baluster knop is one of the least common knops to be found on baluster glasses, making this a rare piece. It has a folded conical foot with a rough snapped pontil...

Fine Qing dynasty 18th century bronze censer with the base. 16,8 cm wide. 11,5 mouth diameter. 10,5 cm high with the base. 8,2cm high (only the censer). Censer in Good conditions. Free from any damage except possible censer has been cleaned. Six character Xuande mark. 1570 gram the censer weight. 360 gram the base weight.

Of elegant pear shaped form. 18th. century, unmarked. Unfortunalely on all the images of the piece the blue color of the vase is much too light. In nature the vase has an wonderful very intensive blue tone. H : 18,8 cm. Condition : Perfect. Provenance : Old German collection.
