This phenomenal 7 3/16" Llama Bone Flute is highly engraved with human effigy carvings with crown or headdress and was recovered in Pisac, Peru near Machu Picchu. It is highly polished. It is so translucent that when backlit with a flashlight, light passes through both sides of the bone. It has beautiful patina. A lot of work and pride went into creating this beauty. I purchased it from Jim Bennett who has written several books on detecting fakes and reproductions.

Small relief fragment in the shape of a head of Buddha, eyes closed, his slightly smiling face reflecting a profound inner serenity. Sandstone. Cambodia, Khmer Period, Bayon Style, 13th century. The piece is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Height (without stand): 12 cm. Erosion due to great age, trace of glue on the lower left side, otherwise very good condition.

A rare early Ming 15th century Xuande - Interregnum period blue and white large stem bowl, outer wall with under glaze blue human (official) and landscape motif, inner center with sitting official motif, good condition with small damage at the rim and associate hairline restored, size: 16.5 cm diameter, 10 cm height.

An important and very interesting medieval floor tile, of a 13th.-14th. century English type, used in Noble houses, churches and monasteries in the period.

Size: 13,5-14 cm. on each side and very thick.

Condition: Intact and choice, with minimal detoriation of the glaze.

A Yuan dynasty blue and white small cup, decorated with continues flower motif, unglazed base, cup is in good condition with small damage at the rim restored, size: 8.5 cm diameter.

A 13th.century ko seto Kamakura vase in elegantly-shaped meiping form, with a gradual outward curve on the shoulder, with short-knopped neck, incised beneath the greenish-yellow / olive glaze.

The box was added by our gallery 20 years ago. It was made by a tomobako artist, and there is written 'ko seto kamakura vase' if my memory does not fool me. The vase is decorated with kanji letters.

Marked on the bottom ( maybe a kiln mark ).

Sung Dynasty Celadon bowl with foliated edge rim and incised floral pattern at center and scrolling design in the cavetto and rim. Note, two small hairlines and an apparent repair noticeable in the darker green spot near center. High resolution images on request. Diameter: 8.50 inches; height: 2 inches.

Architectural element carved to represent Garuda, the vehicle of Hindu god Vishnu, half bird half man, holding the Naga snake in his claws. Wood, with light brown patina. Nepal, 15th century or earlier. Height: 6 1/2" (16,5 cm) Length: 8 7/8" (22,5 cm). Strong erosion, old insect infestation (treated, no danger), otherwise good condition.

A green "Celadon" glazed dish or shallow bowl with flat bracketed rim. The centre is decorated with a moulded peony flower; surrounding this the thick green glaze is incised with stylized lotus scrolls. This item was made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province circa 1400-1500 during the first half of the Ming dynasty. A Chinese, Yaozhou, bowl of conical form; C10-12th. Lightly potted and of refined aesthetic, the deep flaring sides rising from a short spreading foot, covered overall with an olive-green glaze. Diameter, 12.9 cm.   Condition: good. Free from cracks, chips or repair. Light surface wear; consistent with age. There is some mottling to the appearance of the glaze; see photos.

A fine Song dynasty qingbai bluish white bowl, rounded side with deed center and glazed base, bowl decorated with clear flowery motif divided into six horizontal panels at inner wall, center with flower spray motif, bowl covered with good qingbai bluish white glaze, good porcelain high ping sound with finger tip.
Bowl is in good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration.

A Song - Yuan dynasty longquan celadon bluish green twin fish dish, rounded side with flattened rim and glazed base, dish decorated with twin fish motif at the center and raised flower petal motif at exterior, covered with green glaze.
dish is in good condition with shallow chip at outer rim, faint crack line at the rim, no restoration, crackled at glaze surface.
Size: 13 cm diameter.

This is a classical form Song dynasty small longquan or celadon dish with moulded appliqué twin fish in the centre and an everted flatten rim. The dish is glazed with an uneven sea green or aquamarine glaze with crazing instead of the standard green colour.

There is no repair or restoration. Minor abrasion on the base and a small stone pits covered with the glaze near the cavetto which does not affect the aesthetic of the dish (picture 2 at 12 o’clock)...
