A Chinese silver gilt box set with two fine jade rings and decorated with semi precious stones and enamel details. The jades are of very pale hue and translucent whilst the gilt is in very good condition. Stamped " silver" to the base. Age: late Qing to early Republican period. Size: ten cm. high X 8 cm diameter. condition: very good, no restoration, no breaks.
Appealing head of Eros rendered with girl-like features. The head with heavy-lidded eyes, a broad nose and sensuous lips. The richly curled hairdo falls down the left side of the head.
The young god has put his right arm over the head and may hold a flower (?) The button of a garment close to the neck.
Superb modeling with much use of the modeling tool.

Very rare Warring States jar with ribbed pattern. I’ve seen these in publications, but this is the first one I have seen in person. There is one chip on the mouthrim, as can be seen in enlargements, but otherwise in excellent condition. Very sharply carved with decorated lugs. H: 13cm/5.1in and D: 16cm/6.2in.
Reddish brown shrine with three very fine sculptures: Benzaiten in the middle, to her right Daikoku, and Bishamon to her left. Benten is seated on a lotus, depicted in her 8-armed appearance, holding a jewel, her other attributes are lost. On her head a crown with jewels and the snake-shaped Ugajin. Bishamonten stands on a demon and holds a pagoda, his staff now lost. Daikoku stands on two rice bales and holds a hammer and a bag. All of them on separate rock shaped bases...
A Victorian English silver plated biscuit caddy or barrel with a carved finial from the 1880s. This hand engraved silver plated Victorian English piece stands 7-3/8" tall to the top of the hand-carved bone finial, and the attached base measures 7-7/8" x 6". This crystal glass was produced in Bohemia in the late 19th century. We are not certain of the manufacturer but it is in the style of Lobmyer and Moser. The glass is 5 3/4 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 3 1/8 inches. The crystal is hand blown. It is decorated with brightly colored enamels. There is a beautiful lady in a ball gown on the front. Flowers and swirling ornaments decorate the sides and back. There are gilded accents within the decoration...
Japanese antique wood block print of the sumo wrestler, Unryū Kyūkichi (Unryū Hisakichi) with beard and wearing a keshō-mawashi (ceremonial apron-style belt). Unryū Kyūkichi was in the makuuchi league since 1852. Name used from 1850-1865. He retired in 1865. Signed by Kōchōrō Toyokuni ga and date seal between 1851-1853. Framed print.

An antique Japanese 2 section Mizuya Tansu (kitchen chest) made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Keyaki (Zelkova) woods. Original hand forged iron hardware. Upper section has a pair of sliding doors designed with individual vertical slats with 5 side by side drawers below. Bottom section has 2 sliding doors with spacious storage behind.
