A silver washer was nicely in floral shape and was decorated on the side with motifs of bamboo troves.
The beautiful pattern was well rendered by excellant chiselling and engraving workmanship.
Nice and darken patina was yielded when some old restorations were found in portions.

An ornate 11-1/4" boxed pair of matching sterling silver salad servers, made by Wm. Hutton & Sons of Sheffield, England in 1906. 19th century netsuke carved in a shape of a bamboo section. Very simple elegant design in Japanese taste with clean lines, himotoshi is formed by central peg that has a hole in its back part through which a cord goes. Beautifully carved natural features of the plant, excellent patina. Signed RYUSHO on the back - the artist is listed on p. 901 of NETSUKE & INRO ARTISTS AND HOW TO READ THEIR SIGNATURES by George Lazarnick. Height 1 13/16 inches.

The black silk is couched in gold-wrapped thread with a five-clawed dragon pursuing a 'flaming pearl' amidst blue clouds and waves. Size: 10 inches (25cm) in diameter.

A nice Nyonya bowl with butterflies and floral design. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. Nyonya wares were mainly reserved for festive occasions and special functions. Size: W.13cm. H. 5cm. Condition: No repairs. Some wear and ageing.

Offered is this rare, large Gustav Stickley slag-glass lamp, made around 1906. The lamp is 30 inches tall. The shade is 15 1/4 inches wide (diagonal width: 22 inches) while the base is 9 inches wide. The burner is marked, 'B.H' (for Bradley and Hubbard). Overall, the lamp is in good condition for its age - there is a small heat-check in one of the slag-glass panels and a split to one of the wooden panels (see pictures)...

Antique Japanese solid ebony hardwood cha tansu, for storing and displaying tea ceremony articles. The top of the piece has a wide compartment behind two sliding panel doors, with two open shelves below. Its sides are carved with a reticulated honeycomb design. The bottom of the chest has two Persimmon burl sliding panels opening to a lovely shelved interior with foliate carved paneling and two small drawers.

19th century Chinese scholar’s desk object carved out of bamboo to represent a cluster of several reishi fungus - the Fungus of Immortality. The top of the carving provides 2 areas for keeping very small objects - tiny ink cakes and such. Beautifully designed, superbly carved both on top and bottom, excellent detailing, great staining and patina. Wonderful feel of age, very appropriate object for a scholar’s desk. Length 3 7/8 inches.

A zitan wood brush washer or water coupe decorated with carved pine branches. Late Qing Dynasty. The washer is in excellent condition. Approximately 5-1/2"L X 4-1/4"W.

Antique Japanese Nihon Matsu isho tansu (clothing chest) in two sections from the Nihonmatsu area of Fukushima Prefecture. Made all of kiri (paulownia) wood. Iron hardware has a deep red lacquer finish and includes hirute shaped drawer pulls and large square lock plates with shōchikubai symbols (three friends of winter: plum, pine and bamboo) and a butterfly key hole cover. This is a cizhou style wine jar in a baluster shape from the Yuan dynasty (1277-1367 A.D). It stands on a shallow short recessed foot-rim like a stand and then everted outward like a short “C” shaped pedestal and the everted outward and upwards to a baluster shaped body with a flat shoulder and then straight upwards towards a very short neck mouth rim. The jar is divided into four horizontal bands with design in between them...

Circa 1750 Chinese export Nanking Cargo blue and white porcelain tea bowl and saucer. The cup and saucer were recovered from the wreck of the Dutch East India Company ship "De Geldermalsen", which sank in 1751 near Java. The recovered pieces from the wreck are now referred to as "The Nanking Cargo". Both cup and saucer still retain the original Christie's label from the auction held in Amsterdam in 1986. saucer measures 4.75ʺdiameter. Cup diameter is 3".Cup with saucer measures 2.25ʺ high
