Well modeled plate of shallow floor and upcurving rim. The bulged outside of the rim with a marked groove below. Standing on a ring foot which shows two pierced holes for suspension.
Faint traces of fingertips around the foot where held when dipped into the glaze medium. Covered with black glaze that turns into a warm red-brown color.

A large and very fine English Victorian opalescent pink and vaseline glass epergne with 3 scalloped flutes with applied rigaree rising from a scallop edged round tray. In excellent antique condition it measures 20.5 inches high, 10" diameter of tray. Circa 1885. More photos available.

A beautiful 2 Stage lacquered container covered in black lacquer decorated with flowering vines. The domed lid opens to reveal a circular tray removable to open a deep container. It is 8.5 cm (3-1/4 inches) diameter, 11 cm (4-1/4 inches) tall and in excellent condition.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Copeland between 1851 and 1885. The saucer is 4 3/4 inches square and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The set has molded decorations in the porcelain. It is made of fine, white bone china. The decoration is inspired by the Japanese Imari pattern. The colors, rust red, cobalt blue, peach and gold are vibrant. Intricate gilded designs accent both pieces. There is gold trim on the rims and handle.

18th century netsuke of a lying dog with the front part of its body resting on a squished cloth ball. Superb early piece, powerful carving, wonderful face with large horn inlaid eyes, great depiction of its bone and muscle structure, excellent hairwork. Beautiful warm patina turning yellow, old age lines, no breaks, losses or repairs. Excellent sculpture. Length 1 3/4 inches.
