Late 18th to early 19th century bronze suigaraake (ashtray) netsuke in classic bowl shape with cast decoration on the outside of 2 birds by bamboo stalks with leaves. Very well designed piece, good detailing, functional netsuke shape, hanged by a bronze ring. Nice old piece with pleasant patina on metal, the inside of the still containing ash residue. Diameter 1 5/8 inches.

Height approximately 20.5 cm. Few chips at the base. Repaired at the rim. In good condition.

This pair of late 19th century export Sancai Foo lions are 9 7/8” high (male Foo lion is a little shorter), 3 ¾” wide and 2 ¼” thick. One front paw of each lion rests on a globe; the female has a cub on her back. They are in excellent condition.

Qianlong period. Set of 7 dishes. Condition: Condition: very good except for some paint loss or hairlines because of aging.

Ming 15th century interregnum period blue and white dish, rounded side with raising rim and glazed base, dish decorated with under glaze blue of flying two phoenix motif among the flowery motif. 25 cm diameter. dish in good condition except found short hairlines at the rim. Little distorted half cylinder shaped (kutsugata) tea bowl made of light, coarse, unrefined Mino clay.

The expertly thrown body is covered with the typical, glossy black iron oxide glaze inside and outside. A 'window' on the side has been left unglazed for decoration in iron oxide engobe under a clear ash glaze in the form of plum blossoms (ume) and a geometric design. This is a typical Momoyama design...

Art Nouveau sterling silver and clear glass inkwell. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Bellied and lobed clear glass base with short inset foot and carved and engraved stylized flowers. Short neck with sterling silver collar and hinged ball cover with stylized flowers and scrolls in ogee frame, and bead-and-reel rim. Collar and cover interior gild washed. Fully marked 14515 (first produced in 1900) and director’s letter T (1892-1902). Very good condition.

Japanese box made of boxwood carved in the shape of a giant clam shell upon which sits an arhat. His robes are beautifully decorated with gold maki-e lacquer. He holds a sharp tool as if he may attempt to open the enormous shell. Meiji Period (1868-1912).

A collectors lot of 5 stamp seals in different kind of stones incl. serpentine and chlorite, made in semi-autonomous Neo-Hittite states of Syria and Levante, during the Neo-Assyrian period, early 1st. millenium BC.

The seals mostly of the tall pyramid shape, but there's also a 4-side rectangular seal, engraved with symbols on all 4 sides and vertically drilled. Another fine seal is cones-shaped and with a high relief engraving of the base.
