Wood statue of a bearded Taoist deity, in formal attire, sitting on a throne. China, Late Yuan, early Ming Dynasty. Height: 24.3 cm. Obvious signs of great age, otherwise good condition.

Song dynasty longquan celadon bowl with lotus petals motif, good condition with restoration at the rim, size: 16.5 cm.

A heavy porcelain jardinere or plant holder very finely painted with flowering peony and other shrubs in shades of underglaze blue and standing on three Chinese Ming Dynasty style Lion head feet. This item was made in Japan during either the late 19th or early 20th Century. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 21cm (8.25 inches) high; 31cm (12.25 inches) diameter.

A wonderful late 19th or very early 20th century sheet iron weathervane in the form of a sperm whale silhouette. The vane is hand sawn and retains its old coat of oxidized green paint (may be original, but appears to be a second coat). One side still has its black painted eye. The silhouette is attached to its original copper mounting pole. Found in Maine.

Superb Chinese Inside-Painted Glass Snuff Bottle, Signed LeSan, Circa 1890 This is a superb flat, tapered downward, Chinese Snuff Bottle made with clear glass. It is painted from the inside with bright colors. It depicts on one side a seated Lady with a fan who is outdoors in a garden. Really finely carved husband and wife in hand sewn clothes from Tennessee. They are from the 1930's and you can tell that the carver was experienced. You can actually see wrinkles in their faces and the great protruding chins. Her bonnet is lovely but her hair is carved beautifully. They are fully jointed and the joints actually work. They are 9 1/2" tall...

A wonderfull pair of decorative pottery figures of seated Dignitaries or Officials, dating to Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644.

Elderly men with beards, seated on chairs, with their right arms to the belt and the left to their knees. They are dressed in large dark blue and torqouis colored robes, with a dark blue hats on their heads.

Height: c. 21 cm.

Condition: A superb pair of pottery figures with wear for age and type.

A fine example of early American folk art. Generally classed as fraktur type, paintings such as these were done by children, and were often, as this one was, painted on a page from a ledger or notebook. This particular piece is a charming depiction of a horse, and is housed in a period frame with a wonder crusty surface.

The painting is in very good condition, with good color, and no tears or creases...

A Large and Fine Thai Market Benjarong Bowl. Finely decorated with four Celestial Buddha images between Celestial Angels on a black ground with pink flames. A floral circular medallion on a green ground to th interior. The rim and foot bound with a metal band. Chinese 18/19thC. Diameter: 7" (17.8 cm) Condition: Hairline crack from rim 7.5 cm. Two chips in foot filled with lacquer.

This is japanese antique cotton yuuzen dye child kimono of the edo era(1800-1867). There is a light stain, but no damage. Recommended for antique textie collections. Chinese tianhuang stone seals with calligraphy and landscape decoration and carved boar on the top, nineteenth century China; marked. Dimensions: Height of the seal carving is 3 inches with width of 2 inches and depth of 1 1/8 inches. Condition Report: Great condition.
