This ivory carving of the goddess of mercy, Guan-Yin, is an early 20th century product. It depicts Guan-Yin holding a pearl in one hand and a vase in the other. There is a tiny sitting Buddha in her hair. It is 9” high (with fitted hard wood base it is 10” high), 2 ½” wide and 1 1/8” thick. The carving is superb and it is in excellent condition.

This early 20th century Chinese celadon (Long Quan style) bird and bamboo vase is 8 ½” high (with fitted hard wood base it is 9 ¼” high), 5” wide and around 3” thick. It came with a gold and brown silk brocade box. Aside from a tiny repair on the bird’s beak, it is in great condition.

From our Early Chinese Collection, a very fine Ming bronze of Guanyin, 16th-17th century, crisply cast with a wonderfully serene countenance, a tiered and pierced diadem (crown), urna on the forehead signifying divine sight, body jewelry, and seated with right hand in verada mudra upon a double lotus base. This piece has developed a nice deep brown / dark gray patina with several areas of greenish verdigris suggesting high copper content to the bronze...

Pair of Chinese small porcelain Doucai plates, underglaze blue with overglaze enamal of scenes of children playing, each piece differs from the other, Ming inscription but I believe date from 19th century. Size 6 inches on Diameter.

Beautiful antique Chinese porcelain bowl, underglaze painting of flowers, interior of bowl painted with pomegranates, six side foliate, Ching dynasty- Tao Kuang (1821-1850). Size: 3 1/8" high x 7" wide.

This 19th century red and gold vase is 9 1/8” high, 3 ¼” on the widest part and 1 ¾” thick. It depicts a crane resting on a plum blossom tree. Some bamboo and pine trees and an inscription in Chinese are on the rest of the body. The calligraphy and picture are well executed. Unfortunately, the four or six character date mark on the bottom has been rubbed off. It is in excellent condition.

This 19th century blue and white moon flask with handles is 12” high, 8” wide and 3 ½” thick. It depicts two lions (Shi Zhi) surround by clouds playing with balls. There is a Kang Xi honorable mark on the bottom. Aside from one small chip on the handle, small hairline cracks on the bottom and a few flaws from firing, it is in good condition.

This is very a haori coat of the patchwork of the paper and silk of the highest class in Edo period(1800-1867) . This is an item of a rare museum class. The print is massaged by the hand. (chirime-hanga)The haori coat that sews and matched the print and silk. The check on the part of the sleeve is Akita hachijyo. The lining is silk and cotton. There is no stain. This is very a silk Fukusa cloth of the highest class in Edo period(1800-1850). There is neither stain nor damage, too. There is a part where the color changes into the lining. It is a great condition. Everything is embroidered by the hand with silk. It recommends it for your collection. It is a design of the five festival days in Japan...

This well carved ivory maiden is an early 20th century product. It is 8 ¼” high (with wood base it is 9 ½” high), 2 ¼” wide and 1 ¼” thick. It depicts a young lady holding a crane (or egret) in front of her. Aside from an age crack on the front and a tiny piece missing from her hair piece, it is in great condition.
