Beautifully detailed bronze clock with cherubs on either side. It measures 22" long x 20" tall x 8" deep. It is signed (see photo), and from Paris. It is in as found working condition, but could definitely benefit from a good cleaning.
The quality of this quite large covered box is so superb that this piece could be an Imperial piece. It seems that in its original state there was a Seal Mark to the base of the box but for whatever reasons this Seal Mark was scraped away a very long time by arduous work.
This piece is at least a nineteenth century piece but most likely it is older - it could been made at any time during the Qing Dynasty.
