A fine early 19th century silver tastevin in the 17th century Burgundian style, inset with a Louis XIV silver ecu coin. The coin is surrounded by a “couronne” of 27 perles from which extend elongated “godrons”. These elongated grooves, without any corresponding circular grooves typically meant the tastevin was intended for use only with white wines. The godrons are further enhanced with small bunches of grapes...

This rectangular grayish jade (nephrite) plaque is 1 ¾” long, 2 3/4” wide and 3/16” thick. It is a late 19th century product. It is carved as a dragon in the center, two flower blossoms and two leaves are on the four corners and a curly pattern swirls around the dragon. Though it is a thin piece, it was carved very skillfully and carefully into a two layered object. Aside from a tiny chip on one side, it is in great condition.

This celadon jade cup has two handles, a slightly pronounced rim, and is set on a raised foot. The body is carved with three lines of raised knobs along the sides, with two straight, vertical handles on opposite sides. The stone is of a very light translucent celadon tone with a whitish patch that has a reddish-brown outline near the foot. The base of one handle has an indented and polished area, and a carved line under the overhang of the handle...

This late 19th century Chinese white jade (nephrite) dragon head shape buckle is 3 inches long, ¾ inch wide and ¾ inch thick. There are a few small chips and flaw on the side of the body.

19th century Chinese jade banana leaf, 6 ¾ inches long and 2 ½ inches at widest spot on a carved/fitted wood stand. There is a loose ring on the stalk. It is carved so thin it is almost translucent. There is a small chip on the stand. Excellent condition.

A classic 19th century French silver tastevin of traditional form and the bottom inset with a silver coin from the reign of Louis XV. The sides of the tastevin are decorated with the traditional raised "perles" and recessed "cupules" for viewing the depth of color in a wine. A rare large deep dish, of Imperial quality, very finely painted in shades of iron red depicting two five clawed dragons amongst clouds contesting a flaming pearl. There are two similarly painted five-clawed dragons, each in pursuit of a pearl, painted on the underside. The base carries the partly erased six character mark of the Qianlong Emperor but this item was probably made later, during the reign of the Guangxu Emperor (1875-1908)...

A nicely carved Chinese nephrite pendant in a "Pixiu" shape. The nephrite is of very nice quality. There are some russet and dark intrusions mainly on one side of the pendant, this hints that the original material could be part of a jade pebble. We date the pendant to be early 20th century. This is a great Japanese cloisonne vase signed by Hayashi Kodenji. It has a large 4 sided form and is prolifically decorated on all sides. The enamel just glows and the workmanship is spectacular. The scattered sparrows are all done in gold wire. Overall condition is excellent. There is a circular craze on one of the shoulders that is not easy to notice. It take very bright light to see it.
