Chinese Song dynasty five-petal foliate form bowl covered in a pale creamy-celadon qingbai (yingqing) glaze that stops above the unglazed flat base. An unusually large size bronze rain drum from Laos, a Herger type three drum. Reference material “The Karen Bronze drum of Burma” by Richard M. Cooler. It has an unusual 3 frogs (twelve altogether) on top with a ten pointed star with continuing concentric circle and stamped designs. The side has three elephants and three snails representing water and fertility. A globular flared body rises with four attached frog design handles.

The white ground katazome is called "Jishiro" which is rather rare than indigo ground one. It has also nice cloth with stripes for lining, whose warps are cotton and wefts are ramie.
