A pair of massive museum quality matching pottery figures of two male house attendants, middle Ming Dynasty, 15th.-16th. century.
The figures are matching in the Green and Yellow Sancai colors and they are plced on large plints. The figure to the left in this pair was Termo-Luminescence testet by Ralf Kotallas Laboratory and it was made during the Middle Ming period (15th.-16th. cent.).
They are both carrying scarfs. Figure to the left also an umbrella on his back.

This very large and substantial Dorje was never cleaned and comes with a lovely very old dark mahogany patina. Once gilt and still with the original tread or string rolled around the Dorje in tight bands.

Finely decorated in a thick white glaze and decorated in underglaze blue. The decoration is floral and the glazing is finely crackled and patinated, so they are very attractive in hand!
