This is an exceptional Famille Rose Enameled Porcelain Snuff Bottle of circular form, with flared neck, and raised recessed oval footing; decorated with scrolling lotus blossoms and vines, set atop a yellow background. The body of the porcelain under the glaze has incised engravings in a spiraling circular pattern that is barely visible. The underside bearing, in iron red, the Daoguang Mark (1821-50), the period when this bottle was made...
Here we present a real old Ko-Karatsu Tenmoku Chawan with a wonderful yobitsugi repair. It dates from the early stages of the Japanese Azushi-Momoyama Period (1573-1603).

A fine Japanese boxwood netsuke carving of a tanuki, peering upwardly while holding a large sake container and a ledger book. He is a trickster spirit and is a highly amusing and popular icon. The netsuke has an expertly detailed carved form with a shell inlay signature on his underside.

19th century excellently hand-carved Japanese wood netsuke depicting a Sambaso Dancer, in customary posture , standing on one leg, and garb, to include the mitrelike Okina Hat. He is carrying a Fan on his right hand. Excellent form, expression and bright colors, trademarks of Nagamichi Shuzan. It is signed Shuzan in an irregular reserve on the back of his right leg.
Netsuke measures 0.92 inches (2.3cm) wide, and 2.20 inches (5.5cm) tall...

otherwise very fine condition, it measures 10.25” h. x 8” (26cm x 20.8cm).

Antique Chinese scroll painting of a monkey climbing on a persimmon branch, with calligraphy poem and red chop. The image paired with the poem is a charming rebus, as the word "hou" means both "monkey" and "a high ranking official" or a Duke. Dated 1915, attributed to Gao Qifeng (1889-1933).
