Chinese 18th century bronze censer with six character Xuande mark at the base. 18cm wide, 12,5cm mouth rim diameter. 7cm high. 1387 gram weight. Censer has single soft dent at the body (please see on the picture), no crack, no repair.

A rare square dish, kaku-zara, of cushion fom made in the early 18th century for Export to Europe. It is decorated in the centre with a classic kacho-ga motif of Chrysanthemums and Butterflies, and the border is painted with hosoge-mon, stylised floral motifs, reserved within a blue and gilt brocade ground with further stylised floral motifs. Four different pages from a 17th/18th century Tibetan manuscript, painted on thick paper each with four images of Goddesses holding various attributes with traces of inscriptions beneath each. A fine kikugata mukuzuke moulded dish in the form of an asymmetric Chrysanthemum bloom with central motif of a single Chrysanthemum leaf richly enamelled in green and blue enamels with gilding. The rim decorated with a dark brown iron temmoku style glaze. The dish measures 18.5cm in length, 14cm wide and stands 4cm high. An interesting Japanese Arita saucer form dish decorated in a transitional style incorporating elements of the Kakiemon style, notably the asymmetric elements within the reserves to the outer rim of the dish, with Katamono style motifs dating to the late 17th century or early 18th century and made for the domestic market. Small beehive-form pot is covered in a rich, lustrous copper-red glaze that drains to a pale celadon tone on one side. The interior is glazed white with the glaze crackles being highlighted by ink staining from long term use. The copper has drained from the mouth leaving the often seen attractive white ring. The glaze stops at the beginning of the foot which though left unglazed has burnt a pale orange tone in the firing...

A fine and stately Dutch armorial wine goblet engraved with the arms of Hohenlohe. The thistle bowl of this glass shows two leopards passant within a crowned shield surrounded by fronds. A narrow band of engraving encircles the rim. The heavy bottom of the bowl has an enclosed tear, as does the huge inverted baluster knop below the bowl. The foot is domed and folded, with a rough snapped pontil...

A fine and beautiful balustroid type ale or large wine glass, of lead metal. The pointed round funnel bowl, which has close wrythening, flares slightly, making it almost a bell bowl, and sits atop a stem with a wrythened flattened shoulder knop and a wrythened basal knop. The stem also has close wrythening. Such a stem is often referred to as rib-twisted.

The glass is in superb condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration...

A nicely executed Dutch double series opaque twist drinking glass, made of soda metal, with elegant form. A bell bowl with a stem with a pair of solid multi-ply spiral bands outside of two heavy spiral threads. 6 1/2 inches tall, with a bowl diameter of 2 1/2 inches and a foot diameter of 2 15/16 inches.

A rare large Antique Japanese Kuruma Tansu (wheeled chest) made of solid quartered sawn Keyaki (zelkova) wood with hand forged iron hardware and wooden wheels. The upper portion of the chest has a large compartment opened by sliding panels with horizontal slats and a heavy iron latch. The bottom portion has one large drawer and two smaller drawers side by side. Gorgeous original finish with beautiful patina...

An Arita long dish of sampan form somewhat deeper and narrower than usually found. Painted with an idealised Chinese style landscape incorporating the elements of water and land. The cavetto painted with stylised lotus flowers enmeshed within a Hagi-karakusa, Bush clover vine arabesque. Gobenka with karakusa motifs to the sides of the dish, and a similar auspicious Lozenge (one of the Eight Precious objects) with karakusa at each end...

A fine 17th/18th century bronze Buddha head with a nice verdegris patina and remains of gilding. H. 17,5 cm. Repair to the left ear (excavated piece). ex Dutch private collection, collected in Bangkok in the early 90’s.

A finely carved white jade pendant probably made in China in the 18th Century during the reign of the Qianlong emperor. Condition - half of one of the loops is missing (please see enlargements ) - no further damages and no repairs...

A lovely Chaffers Liverpool bowl, decorated with peonies issuing from hollow rockwork, a red bird on a branch. and an insect to the reverse. Chaffers, even more so than the more common Liverpool factories, has seen a substantial and lightning growth in interest and value, especially for items in good condition. This piece is in overall excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration, although the interior has a rubbed flower, as is often the case...

A hexagonal Worcester teapot stand circa 1760 with molded chrysanthemums overlaid by blue painted blossoms which are repeated in a garland formation on the interior rim. Diameter is approximately 5 inches (12.7 cm), and height is approximately 5/8 of an inch (1.6 cm).

Condition: Slight discoloration on bottom. No chips, cracks, or repairs.

The teapot stand is an attractive shape with a nice contrast between the painting and molding.

Statue of a standing guardian lion, cast in the typical style of Newar statuary. Bronze, dark green patina with reddish areas. Nepal, 18th century. Height: 8 cm. Length: 8 cm. Old accident on the tail, otherwise very good condition.
