Fiddle dinner spoon from Hall & Elton (1839 -1890), Connectitcut, the pointed shape of the blade indicates mid 19th century. Hall & Elton is known to have made lots of silvered cutlery. However, this spoon is tested for a silver content of at least 830/1000 (= Swedish silver standard), and so probably is coin silver. Sterling silver was introduced 1870 in America. Length "8 ¾ / 22.5 cm, weight 45 grams. Condition: fine.

19th century netsuke of a baying stag with its head turned back, its upper front teeth bared. Elegant carving with pure clean lines, excellent hairwork, wonderful depiction of volume of the deer body and his antlers, eyes inlaid in black horn, beautiful patina. Himotoshi is formed by its feet. Wonderful sculpture. Height 1 3/4 inches.

This is a 19th century famille jaune brush pot with butterfly and watermelon motive incised with a feathery wave like yellow background. The butterfly symbolizes joy and felicity or to the effect meaning longevity. As for the watermelon, it does not hold any symbolic meaning. The nearest fruit that it can be compared to, is the pomegranate, because it has many seeds symbolizing offspring and posterity. This combine with the butterfly becomes very meaningful...

Five(5) Chinese Blue and White Bowls, Ca. 19th C., underglaze blue decoration of free design of double happiness and floral and scrolling vines, 6" to 1 1/2" diameter-top rim, 2" to 2 1/2" high, various heights and width, they are all different hand painted underglaze blue design. 19th century staghorn ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) of double gourd form carved and pierced with geometric designs. Nice work, pleasant feel of age, beautiful patina. Height 11/16 inches.

A spectacular Chinese coconut wood carved crab box of the Guangxu period. Every detail is done to high excellence with the utmost attention to detail; even the the crabs with their markings are painted to realistic perfection. The basket appears woven but is itself carved. This is a rare and unusual treasure and is in perfect condition, measuring 4.5 inches high and 4.25 inches at widest point. Circa 1900

German Nymphenburg Royal Porcelain Cake Stand or compote, pure white clean porcelain with beautifully low relief laid out design and open work on the wide molded fluted rim, 3 3/4" high, 8 1/4" diameter-top, 4"-5" wide-bottom, with reticulated Rococo style between Pine Cone, supported by four(4) shaped feet and molded raised design stem. Underglaze blue mark on the bottom. The condition is good, no damage.

An Unusual Pair of Newell Harding Coin Silver Salts, in a Georgian Style. Dimensions; 3" in diameter x 1.5" high; weight 7.2 troy ounces. Excellent condition. Monogram, the same as on our Harding Pitcher, item number 1866 and Trocadero number 1099895. Note that the "Harding" part of the mark is rubbed, but can be made out on one.

The Luminous Lord of Infinite Compassion sits in padmasana position with his hands held in front of his chest in the complex dharmachakra mudra. An antique Gyosho Tansu (peddler's chest) made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware. Top of chest has a recessed table top where the peddler displayed and demonstrated his wares for sale. Upper hinged door houses 5 drawers where wares were stored and record keeping supplies were kept. Bottom hinged door covers 3 drawers for additional wares.
