Absolutely beautiful, very heavy, sterling tray. It measures 22" long x 14 1/2" wide x 1" tall and weighs 2045 grams. It is heavily decorated with flowers and leaves. It is marked on the bottom "sterling" with what appears to be a beehive. It is rare to find a sterling tray of this weight and beauty.
Fabulous homespun black wool blanket with the best bittersweet color stripes at both ends. It is very soft and in very good condition but not mint. It has a later hand sewn edge on one end that is coming loose in a couple of places and there are a few small thin areas. It is 68" by 60" and it makes quite a statement. It is not as early as the center seam blankets but it makes up for it in looks.
A nice bronze figure of the crucified Christ, European, European, Late renaissance, c. 16th century AD.
Christ is represented with a crown of thorns and his head bent slightly to the right. With long hair and beard and he wears a pleated peritonium.

Condition: Fine-Very fine for the type, missing left hand othervise intact with a fine light brown patina with deposits.

An antique Japanese Choba (merchant) Tansu made of solid keyaki (zalkova) wood with Burl keyaki sliding doors. The upper portion of the Tansu has a sliding door with interior shelf. The lower portion has 5 drawers with iron hardware locks. Matsumoto is a special city located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan.

Tea bowl with enamelled blue and gilt decoration, Jiaqing c 1800. The blue inside border with small stars in gilt makes it probable that the bowl was intended for the American market.

This is a long thick zanshi cotton boro noragi from the Meiji era. The dark indigo shade is the warp, and the white thread is the weft. Thick hand-spun threads are also mixed in the weft. A footed Reed & Barton silver plated coffee pot circa 1897. This excellent quality American silver plated 9-5/8" tall coffee pot has a high embossed design which we believe is a pattern; these hollowware go-with pieces were issued to complement flatware patterns, although we haven't identified it. This brilliantly enamelled dish belongs to the same kind as the dish listed before ( # 396 ). However, this one is much more thinly potted, and its decoration, with a Phoenix in the center, is executed even more lavishly than on # 396. A Qing Dynasty Yongzheng period ( 1723 - 1735 ) Famille Rose ( soft color ) dish. Diameter : 27,2 cm. Condition : Perfect.
There is an old paper label from the prominent dealer "Bernheimer München" ( Munich ) on the back of the dish...
Offered is this beautifully decorated (with mums) biscuit jar, made by Pairpoint / Mt Washington, around 1900. The jar is 8 1/4 inches tall (to the top of the handle) and 5 inches wide. It is in very good condition, without chips, cracks or repairs. The biscuit jar is fully marked (Mt Washington shape number, 'M.W. 4413' engraved on the inside of the lid, and, 'Pairpoint 3910' stamped on the jar's bottom - see last two pictures)...
A fine Georgian mahogany rectangular tea caddy with bail handle and diamond shaped lock escutcheon. The interior is fitted with 2 compartments for holding tea, and a center receptacle for the cut glass mixing bowl which we deem to be of the period. Gold accents which we do not believe are inlays decorate the edges of the ivory knop lids.
Condition is very good meaning that the wood has occasional blemishes, and the interior lining appears to be later than original, though still old...

A nice lot of 6 stamp seals in various stones, mainly scaraboid seals from the Middle-Assyrian period, c. 1500-1100 BC.
Lot also includes a nice larger Sasanian stamp seal, but with repaired crack.

The size of Imari Bowl: 6 1/4" Dia x 2 1/8" H.. This is unusual design of geese flying with gold cloud and moon over Susuki Grass(Japanese pampass Grass and wild flowers.) The design like Ogata Korin's. The inner border with red band with gold. It is deeper than regular Namasu bowl and little bigger. Outside bowl has nice Karakusa design in blue under glaze and lavender color painting. The condition of bowl excellent, no chip, no crack, and no hairline. No scratch on the surface...
