These antique iron stirrups probably belonged to a low level horse soldier of the Chinese army during the Qing dynasty. They are well patinated.

Daimyo hikeshi shozoku: Samurai firefighter's wool jacket with a silk velvet collar; the crest and design are couched with gold leaf thread (wrapped around silk thread), chest protector and belt. Excellent, clean condition with some holes and damages in velvet collar. Late Edo period (1603-1868), 50" wide x 39" long, Chest protector, 25 1/4" long.

There were many fires during the Edo period (1603-1868)...

Korean antique 2-section personal head side chest, extensive chased brass (silver color) hardware, lovely mother of pearl inlay of birds and flowers, 4 small drawers across the top, bottom section has one large drawer, opening cabinet doors in the middle lead to one large compartment, dark color finish, nice wood grain, Chosun Dynasty (circa 1900). A wonderful French first empire tole ware monteith, the sides hand painted with bouquets of colorful flowers against ivory-colored reserves flanked by gilt grapevine designs. The sides rise to handles cast in the form of swans’ heads--a feature very rarely seen. Verrieres are typically oval in shape, but this example is round. The bowl is unusually raised on four lion’s paw brass feet...

Small ovoid vase with short neck; lugs on two sides of the neck. Rich brown iron glaze over a gray-beige colored ceramic body, leaving the lower 1/3 part free.
Sawankhalok ware from Sukhothai, 15th -16th century. Or possibly Chinese, Jian yao, Song dynasty, 12th – 13th century

Unique clear glass Sino Tibetan image of a Dakini, most likely cast from a mold. Basically even with the usual clay images it is problematic dating them as the molds may be old but the item recently made, this piece has traces of compacted soil, surface pitting and wear, as well as small Ming Dynasty Buddhist and Taoist clear glass charms having been documented, I feel a circa 100 year plus is a conservative dating...

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Hutschenreuther before 1920. The plate has a diameter of 10 1/2 inches. It is artist signed by Greiner. The painting was originally done by Paul Reubens and is in a museum in Brussels. This is written on the back of the plate. This painting is among the finest quality produced by companies such as KPM, Royal Vienna and Meissen. Looking at the features on the faces and delicacy of the hands, the artistic ability of this painter is evident...

This pair of porcelain plates was produced in France by Delinieres & Co. Limoges in the 1890s. They measure 9 inches in diameter. The rims are scalloped. The central reserve has hand painted ladies dressed in fashionable Victorian attire. They are framed in ornate raised gold cartouches. There is an artist’s signature, G. Saguel on each plate. The border is a deep cobalt blue with fine lacy gilding over it. The borders on the first two photos look black but they are cobalt blue...

6 Victorian humorous comical miniature 4-1/4" plates from 1860-80 with relief decoration. These plates have an unidentified shield impressed mark, and the set consists of the following scenes:
- "Satisfaction" (duelling scene, 2 in stock, both with staining and crazing)
- "Tad Too Late" (leaving carriage, crazing)
-attorney office scent (legend obscured, crazing)
-fishmonger scene (crazing, staining)
-"Very Deaf In Deed" (dark staining, crazing, tight crack)...

This Indonesian container would have been carried by a man using the handmade string as a shoulder strap. The "purse" was hand carved out of a local hardwood and both the top and bottom have decorative details.

The container sits stably on it base but can also be hung on the wall as an interesting sculpture artifact.

Approximately 9 inches high, 7.5 inches across and 4 inches deep.

Antique Kurdish bagface, or bag front, Northwest Persia, late nineteenth--early 20th Century, 14" by 19". Single Memling gul in blue-green, brown-black, dark ivory, several shades of red, apricot, midnight blue, etc. Multicolored diagonal stripe border. Original selvedge, good condition. All dyes appear natural, including the beautiful apricot often found in this type of bag.

This is a large Song dynasty cizhou glazed rectangular shaped pillow. The top of the pillow is incised with a single stalk of lotus flower in a pond within a carttouche inside a double line rectangular frame.

Some minor chips as shown in the picrures, especially number 4, along the edges. There are also some soil calcification especially can be seen on the top left hand of the pillow, abrasion and wear...

An early Republic Period hat stand painted in Qianjiang style with Shou Lao, the God of Longevity, carrying a branch of peaches. This lovely hat or wig stand can be used as a vase. In very good condition, it measures 11” high x 4.75” diameter.

Very rare European neo-classical dark blue glass paste Intaglio Ring, circa. 1800 AD - 1900 AD, depicting the God Pan or a Faun challenging a Capricorn in the forest. 18k. gold

A very beautiful cloisonne candy box, uniquely colored in both red and yellow; both symbolical of Chinese culture. The collar and shoulder are decorated with the highly stylized bat or ruyi cloud pattern, as well as the surrounding portion of the handle knob, along with floral and tendril foliage...

A rouge-de-fer or copper red tea cup with the longevity motive. It has Tonzhi seal mark on the cover as well as the base of cup and is of the period.

Generally in good condition and has only a hair line as shown in picture 6. No chip, crack or repair.

The height of the copper red tea cup is 9cm and the dimater is 10.6cm.

This is a medium size Daoguang period minyao dish. It is decorated with bamboos (flexibility ad durability) and beneath it is a small taihu rock (strong and solid foundation) with two lingzhi (longveity) to the left and right. To the right is a poem.

Generally in good condition. Minor wear but no chip, repair or hairline.

The dimater is 20.5cm and the height is 3.1cm

This is a famille jaune glaze bowl used for auspious events such as birthday and joyous occassions that calls for celeberation. In the center of the bowl, it has five wufu or bats surrounding the character longevity, all in copper red colour. It has a six character seal mark dated to Guangxu reign. This bowl is possibly dated to the early 20th century and of the period.

This is a lime glazed bowl with a lime green ruyi at the upper band of the bowl and the lotus lappet at the bottom of the bowl just before the foot rim. In between the lime green ruyi band and lotus lappet are a mirror image bat or wufu surrounding the character shou or longevity. Between the two wings of the bats, on the left and right, they appear to be holding a lotus flower. Alternating between the pair of wufu is a swastika. Judging by the design, this bowl is probably a temple bowl or use...

Beautiful Japanese censor, silver filigree with flowers, lid with wonderful little silver quail, stands on 4 silver legs; two gold lacquer shibayama reserves with flowers, butterflies, and a bird inlaid with mother of pearl and inlaid shell, signed on the inside, Meiji Period. 4" high x 4" wide

This is a small Yuan dynasty blue and white jarlet with a flat base and a bulb shaped body. It has two stylized stalk of sun flowers drawn around the center of the jarlet. The blue and white jarlet is probably used for oinment or some medication.

The blue and white jarlet is in good condition with a possible restoration to the right side circular ear as shown in photo number 4. Other than that, no crack, hairline or chip.

This is a copper red or rouge-de-fer pheonix glaze water dropper. It has a seal of a hall mark at the base. This is a late 19th to early 20th century water dropper, probably Guangxu period - late Qing dynasty.

The copper red water dropper is in good condition. No repair, chip or hairline.

Very attractive Japanese Yogi (bed comforter) with a pattern of chrysanthemums and scrolling vine, rice paste resist Katazome stencil dye. The cotton is not as thick as the other yogi. Excellent condition, It is an another "tsukurioki" (it had not been used after it was made - t just sit in the storage as a spare bedding for guests.
