A nicely carved Chinese nephrite pendant in a "Pixiu" shape. The nephrite is of very nice quality. There are some russet and dark intrusions mainly on one side of the pendant, this hints that the original material could be part of a jade pebble. We date the pendant to be early 20th century. Bowl has been broken into several pieces and re-attach as seen at picture, a very rare sample of early over glaze enamel motif.

This rectangular grayish jade (nephrite) plaque is 1 ¾” long, 2 3/4” wide and 3/16” thick. It is a late 19th century product. It is carved as a dragon in the center, two flower blossoms and two leaves are on the four corners and a curly pattern swirls around the dragon. Though it is a thin piece, it was carved very skillfully and carefully into a two layered object. Aside from a tiny chip on one side, it is in great condition.
